Default High Level Cash Camps

Just thought I'de share a little less known about cash camp.

This is a high lvl camp, I started doing it at lvl 65 and was fully healed by the time the first mob repopped, but not by alot.

In felwith every guard you kill drops "a two handed sword." If you sell this sword to the vender right next to zone in WHILE SNEAKING you get 19 pp ( this is with 95 cha). The guards also drop fine steel very commonly, up to 7 pp in cash and 2-12 pp gems very commonly. For me it it came out to an average of 24 pp per mob.

Spawns: There is 4 static guard spawns on the bridge right as you enter felwithe, and 2 roamers in that area. The roamers will wander all the way to the zoneline, but very slowly. They have several different points they stop at on the way. After you have cleared these 6, run past the bridge to the right. Outside of the bank there is another wanderer "guard jassong." Then open up the door to the bank and there is a guard spawn right to the left of the door.

Inside the bank on the left wall ( right next to the bankers right arm) is another guard spawn. After you clear this exit the bank and head to your left, go past the clerics guild and through the pillars and there is a last guard spawn for you to clear.

If you have lev/spirit of eagle there is 1-2 more spawns you can pull. Run to the bridge and stand on the little pillar on either side so your higher up. Then approach the overhead bridge and chill for a minute. There is 2 different guards that wander across it. They will agro eventually, and you will see their agro message. Run to zoneline and wait a few seconds and it will warp onto you.

I pull the majority right to the zoneline.

If your equipment is a little below average and your having trouble clearing all the spawns, after you have broken the camp once you can easily pull the mobs to zone then instill doubt kite.

You only need to break for the first 2 static bridge spawns. To solo pull the farther in 2 static bridge spawns go on the bridge and hide behind a pillar so you see 1 guard and not the other. It comes solo every time.

Mob Info: The max hit on each guard is 102, and they have around 2,200 hp. They are all paladin mobs which lets their hp seem like its around 3k. When they have finesteel weapons that show up they are twice as hard. It lets them dual wield and do twice the damage output.

Respawn time is 22 minutes. At an average of 24 pp per mob, once you have the spawn down thats 480 pp every 44 minutes. If you have a lev you can bump that to around 570 every 44 minutes.

Note you will have to start feigning right after you start banking eventually, as the banker will become kos. This isn't a big deal though, hes a real wuss.

The reason I love this camp so much is that their is a bank in zone, and its always consistant in its cash. If you have the camp you WILL make 440 pp minimum after clearing the spawns twice, and it will stay this way every 44 minutes as long as your there. The max ive gotten from 2 runs, clearing 12 guards ( including the 2 warp ones) is right at 700 pp.

Remember YOU HAVE TO BE SNEAKING and sell to the first vender( right outside the bridge spawns, visible seconds after zoning in). He buys the swords for 19 pp each as apposed to 15 pp from other venders. Before you stop doing this camp, if there is noone waiting... kill this vender. Because when he has enough swords he will start buying them for less.

Enjoy

I did the same camp with pretty decent gear at 58 and was only getting around 200pp per hour.. The guards, you forgot to mention, also lay hands themselves which makes it twice as long to kill..

I think I could add to this guide a bit, and list the pros and cons of each camp.

Felwithe Guards

PROS: Decent exp up to 60, decent platinum per hour, rarely camped, bank/merchant nearby.

CONS: Guards hit fairly hard, take long to kill, not too many spawns.

Highkeep Guards

PROS: Guards are easy to kill, good rate of plat per hour, bank/merchant nearby.

CONS: Camped often, no exp off guards.

Solusek A

PROS: Mobs are easy to kill, rarely camped, item drops, merchant nearby.

CONS: Plat loot isn't too great, no bank, no exp.

Rathe Mts

PROS: Good rate of plat per hour, mobs aren't too hard, merchant nearby.

CONS: Camped all the damn time, little/no exp, no bank (biggest problem)

Crystal Caverns Geonids

PROS: Good at lower levels, gem loot, easy mobs, bank/merchant.

CONS: Long respawn, no exp at high levels, camped sometimes.

Paineel Guards

PROS: Hardly ever camped, decent plat per hour, bank/merchant.

CONS: Long respawn, no exp.

Hopefully this will help cease people posting in the general forum asking where to farm plat.

In rathe moutains those giants are so insanely hard to catch on a regular day cause always camped. Get a sow or your screwed, no amount of run 3 will save you =D

I never liked these guys because of that and the whole no bank thing...

Currently I have made somwhere around 60-80k making cloaks of greater pernicitys. Look up the quest on allakhazam and enjoy =D

(I pay maybe 3k to make each cloak and sell for 20k)

I've made 5 cloaks to date and only purchased one horn from the bazaar. Have found the shards and horns on merchants, looted the rotting corpses in PoI for the bundle of wires, and just do /ooc-/auc WTB for the grease. Average sale price is a tad lower tho. Slow movers at 20k, brisk at 15k, faster than I can type /auc WTS at 12k.

End up spending less than 2k in all for components.

no bank (biggest problem)

Who needs a bank when there's a merchant in zone where you can sell FS weapons to and buy gems from? When you start getting overweight or your bags are full, run to the merchant in zone and sell all your FS and buys stacks of the most expensive gem. Easy way to avoid making a trip to the bank. Yes, you lose some PP on the exchange, but it is much better than leaving the zone to bank and sell.

malacchi - which vendors have you found the shards and horns on? I doubt that you will find many since this quest is becoming better known and I imagine less and less folks will dump the items - ths only need to shout to zone to either get an answer where it is used or even better an instant buyer (I know I would buy them on the spot).

Default Re: High Level Cash Camps

if you don't care about druid faction there's those 2 druids at the west commons port. fast respawn (6 minutes?), FS loot (up to 2 swords + 1 bow) + plat + minor gems/words.

they are level 30.

druid merchant nearby will remain indiff

they buff themselves with thorns though, so you want to go 2hb on them when splitting. oh and they heal. ranger type heals for 100 i think, druids for 300 (annoying at times).

this is on my 30s necro of course. a 300 heal wouldn't help them much when facing my facesmasher.

downside: no bank. but can buy FS and resell to convert silver/gold to plat.

another good cash camp, though a bit more difficult:

Efreeti Lord Djarn.

boots aren't lore ... sold 3 in one night on trader mode, selling for 2100 instead of 2500. easy money.

you want decent equip and a gauze press though, fungi helps too.

2hb all the way. fire guardians or whatever the elementals are called do suck with their DS.

oh, no xp on either camp. well freeti is light blue at 65 but...

taking it a step further, you can do fire giants, although it's tedious.

rokyl if nagafen isn't up (unlikely these days), EE3 items sell for a few plat still.

dwarven smiths dig the ore you get off FGs too.

and while you're in SolB, check on King/priest/champ. Runed Mithril Bracers are not that bad for their peridot saving habit

downside: no bank, merchant outside at druid ring. can buy FS and re-sell to convert silver/gold. semi-short run from neriak, where the closest bank and PoP book are located.

Sebilis:

Again, you want decent gear, a snare stick is a double plus, fungi helps of course, gauze press to keep up with healing between pulls.

You can do disco1 (IFS camp), and NecroJail (hte one with the 4 necros and the scarab). get gem drops, spells, and the odd rare item (got lucky and scored an IFS when breaking into disco ... never got one while actually fighting there for xp ... oh the irony). necrojail gives you iksar blood, though rarely. it's used in tradeskills and sells for a few hundred pp each.

kunark armor sells for several hundred pp to merchants too, i think about 330 on helmets (lore). silvery warhammers go for about 150pp (lore).

use 2hb on the iksar, they are necros and buff themselves with a nasty DS.

downside: no bank, no merchant. you die, you're screwed, nobody ever goes there any more. long run from cabilis, where the closest bank and PoP book are located.

Next, I'll be trying permafrost

I spent 1.5 hours killing the Giants in Rathe Mountains and made 560 plat in that amount of time. That includes the loot as well which I would put into Tinkers bags to keep weight down.I'm 61 Monk and was working there at 2AM and there were only 7 players in the Zone at that time.I was using the stave of shielding for a little buff then would switch to my T staff. This is a good way to get your Bind Wound up as well and make good plat. This system really doesnt take long being that one can use the Book in Feerrott to go to and from the Rathe and Pok to bank there.

Default fast plat

Well if we're really talking about high level camps, then you shouldn't be ruling out experience zones. The fastest plat I make is killing in Crypt of Decay. I duo with a reasonably equipped shaman bot and obviously I get to keep all the gems, but I can pull upwards of 1k per hour out of there (and great xp). Grab yourself a shaman partner, get a virtue, and go to town....you'll make fast plat without wasting your time.

You want cash...your all wasting your time...

Go to Western Wastes go up and down the water and kill the named statics. I have been doing this with a shaman 58 as of late and we have been raking in the money. Shaman is ally to kael so every head we get is a piece of barbed dscale armor and is awesome money. Spell drops, dragon armor, and all sorts of goodies here And its not that hard once you get used to it...

I would suggest you pull out into the water when you kill the dragons tho because adds can be a bitch. Ive found the safest area around to be the area right around the gnome ship, but make sure you stay out of range with the gnomes, if the dragons ae hits them they will all assist you, and possibly steal the kill.

Long resspawn but worth it because you can make a lot of cash.

On torvonnilous the paineel guards are camped almost all the time. Its gotten so bad people have tried to split it up into 3 camps. Instead of just back and front they say front middle and back. Damn lowbies taking only half the guards. It sucks. Best thing that ever happened was that dark elf being put in near bye for a quest. When all the guards are mine though i make around 875pp an hour. When only half i don't bother. Just a waist of time. I'm a level 55 monk. Decently equipped. I can clear them all before needing to use bandages. Hope this helps some one. There is already a guide on paineel guards. That is where i found out about them.

Seru guards drop about 17pp a kill on average. Many of these are level 45-51 NPCs so soloing could land you some down time. Its a needed step if you want your VT key though.

There is one spot in PoN that made me boat loads of money. One day I go to the Hobgoblin camp. Good xp, good camp, and great money. I got about 40 Nightmare Irons one day and went to bazaar to check out the prices. Saw 350pp PER! So I put all the bricks on my trader and set the price to 325pp per. When I woke up all the bricks were sold and I was instantly rich.

Default CoDecay

Grimror Plaguebringer, the wandering Ogre NPC in PoDisease has an alternate access quest that can be done by 1 group or less in a couple of evenings (or less, if you are lucky) that will now allow a whole group into CoDecay ... you can't get to Bertoxxulus with that flag, but this post isn't about PoP progression.... mind you, I understand now why the Mace of the Fallen Crusader sells for peanuts.

dark elf guards are light blue at 55 iirc, i soloed there from 51 to 53 made about 10k or so in that time. bank in zone, tons of merchants even one that was indiff so no need to sneak to sell to her. swords with 130+ cha sold for 11p, sheild was 1p almost 2. plus they drop average 3 to 7p a kill, sometimes gem or silver amulet to sell for another few plat. i didnt bother to much doing the guards near the bridge, i did the ones near the 3rd quarter. get a map and learn the zone, easy kills, no caster to mess with. But i advise you get 2 of the +25 cha steins to use while selling, ever few plat is nice

It wouldnt. Their weapons are only finesteel... if you dont want to kill the guards just go hunt somewhere else like Sol A or some other zone where you can rip through at a high level through all the greenies enjoying the phat lewt. The guards are good because they provide xp and great cash, the xp being a bonus. Like I said, if you're going to diarm/fd them you might as well go kill goblins in sol a or something. No point in doing guards.

Was bored the other day and wanted to see if I could solo Sir Lucan in FP.

Lvl 60. 2900hp. 1109AC unbuffed. WLK and BoRS/SoS for weapons.

Can split Lucan off of his little healer guy with ease using aggro (no throwing equipment/techinque needed).

Killing all but the zone entrance guards I made 97pp in a half an hour (no xp mind you, but is pure fun to waste an entire city zones guard force excluding the 4-5 guards that protect the city entrance). Respawn time on all the guards (Lucan and his healing buddy notwithstanding) is 5 minutes each. Fast repop.

I sneak sell their gear to the shopkeep near the NFP zone and keep the helmets in WR bags to give to the Paladins in NFP just for laughs. Has given me ridiculously high NFP faction now though, which I will have to fix shortly.

And whenever Lucan pops up some lucky paladinling gets a free sword and a real boost on completing their epic.

Win-Win situation.

btw, it appears that the Felwithe camp has been slashed... there is a new mob in NFelwithe name Exterminator <whatever> that con'd blue to 54 and lblue to 55. my 55 monk, 55 shaman and a 52 monk friend attacked him for over an hour the night after the patch, my monk did over 102k damage alone and we never dropped him below 85%. dead serious, i have submitted a feedback to verant, but they may have had this guy there for this very reason. this angers me cause i was makin about 300pp per spawn cycle here, give or take 50pp...

They may not be intended to be killed, but becuse he is KOS he will attack you (well he attacked me!). You can still pull past him if you are carefull but it's a bit of a pain.

But on the bright side, it may put of other classes more than monks.
