    Default audio triggers

Okay, so I decided to play with the audio triggers that were added in a recent patch. Edit - broke this down into a couple of sections.

    Suggested Trigger "Patterns"
    General
    about to appear
    you appear
begins to cast the gate spell
    you are drowning
    you are burning
    about to fall
    has become enraged

    FD classes
fallen to the ground (also useful for FD procing mobs)
you have fallen to the ground (if you only want alerts for you)
    no longer feigned
enemies have forgotten you (FD agro clear)

    Monk
    muscles bulge (innerflame disc)

    Healers
has been rescued by divine intervention
goes into a berserker frenzy (warrior low health)

    Vish
    You sense your doom approaching

    OMM
You hear a strange buzzing around your head (adds on me)
You feel a gaze of deadly power (gaze)

    Ture
Ture roars with fury as it surveys its attackers (Ture's AE rampage warning)

    AMV
You feel the cold grip of death looming over you (AMV's AE Deathtouch emote)

    Jelvan
Jelvan shouts (advanced warning to FD in 3 seconds and avoid the Tormentor AE)

Ikky3 (the emotes monks care about anyhow, I don't have a complete list....)
The creature appears weak to the combined effort of strength and cunning (Melee)
    "focused tranquility" - monk

    General Setup
Click on your "EQ" button and select Actions -> Audio Triggers

To create an audio trigger, type in the "pattern" and select the sound to play. For example: pattern - "has become enraged" - sound - "alert2"
    Click "Create"

Now whenever these patterns come through any of your chat windows, you'll hear the appropriate alerts.

    Custom Audio Files
First up, you need to get some .wav files to use. Note - you can use the 'default sounds' but that's boring! There are tons of great websites with .wav files from popular shows (south park, simpsons, etc). If you're looking for a personal touch, you can use Windows 'sound recorder' and record yourself speaking. What I settled on was a text to speech tool.
    http://www.research.att.com/projects/tts/demo.html
I selected "Audrey UK English" because that voice was most appealing to me

I recorded the following text and downloaded and saved as the following filenames - tweaked the spelling as needed to get the prounciation right:
    Phrase filename:
    "about to appear" "appearing.wav"
    "you appeared" "appeared.wav"
    "feign failed" "feignfailed.wav"
    "feign broken" "feignbroken.wav"
    "aggro clear" "agrocleared.wav"
    "mob gating" "gating.wav"
    "drowning" "drown.wav"
    "burning" "burn.wav"
    "about to fall" "falling.wav"
    "saved by dee eye" "saved.wav"
    "whup ass time" "innerflame.wav"
    "enraged" "enrage.wav"

Save all the .wav files in c:\program files\everquest\audiotriggers\shared\ directory.

Now start up EQ (must restart EQ for these new files to be available).
Edit - you can add sounds into the folder while EQ is running, click 'trigger sets' and reselect defaults.

Now create the triggers per normal, with the trigger phrase and the custom wav files you created (or downloaded)

    Here's what I used:
    Trigger Pattern Filename
    about to appear - appearing.wav
    you appear - appeared.wav
you have fallen to the ground - feignfailed.wav
    no longer feigned - feignbroken.wav
begins to cast the gate spell - gating.wav
    you are drowning - drowning.wav
    you are burning - burning.wav
    about to fall - falling.wav
    has become enraged - enrage.wav
    muscles bulge - innerflame.wav
has been rescued by divine intervention - saved.wav
your enemies have forgotten you - agroclear.wav

Reply to this thread with other triggers that have been useful to you.
Note that some of the 'patterns' I haven't been able to verify yet, but I'm pretty sure they're close, need to review some chat logs and see if I can find the exact messages, let me know if you find one here that doesn't work for you.

Edit - added enemies have forgotten you
    Edit - reformated

The Vish and OMM I might setup as a custom 'set' since my guild isn't quite there yet. If you want to post the phrases you watch for I can add 'em to the list in a subsection.

you can copy sounds into the folder and update while in the game without relogging by clicking "trigger set" and reclicking default or whatever set you have there

I need to add that one, though I use trigger text instead of audio. I've died, or almost died, quite a few times when it's faded mid-battle with something that enrages or ripostes for a lot.

NOTE: I took that straight from LUCY, but after testing it in game, there is no aura fade message regardless of what LUCY says. So you just have to watch for it.

bummer... I think there were some threads about the developers maybe adding something to indicate status changes with it, or maybe that was for destructive force...
