***UPDATE***

I have recreated this for level 70.HUGEthanks to Yoda from TSW as his hate generation sheet finally gave me a list of 2H DBs at level 70 (as well as info on WA<5 and combat effects). I added a couple blocks for combat effects and worn ferocity.

I also tweaked the formula a bit. I had some bonuses compounding each other, but previous known EQ math almost never does that so I changed it.

I'm leaving the original post in below.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I decided to make a DPS calculator, not a weapon comparison, but an actual DPS calculator. It seems to be pretty close and at the very least is the best weapon comparison tool widely available. Lots of people (including me) have tried to figure out all the computations involved and even worse, used modals to try to make these sheets before. The (Dmg*2+Bonus)/Delay calculation is a rediculously outdated estimate. The other formulas don't account for diminishing returns and "damage charts". That DPS program that is floating around seems closer, but completely messes up procs by applying them as if his calculations were right even though he admits that the number is not supposed to be your actual DPM.

Instead of complex computations made up of every concieved formula that the game may or may not use, I took a much more brute force approach. I started looking up parses and took (MaxHit - Bonus)/WeaponDmg as my base number. I then used crit maxes to figure out the hit bonus for crits, basically I just used the end result instead of worrying about how it got there. This allowed me to very accurately apply well known variables like damage bonuses and procs. It also means that this only counts for level 65 people with 305 str and maxed weapon skills, but there is an adjustment for hit% (to account for atk vs AC) and crit% so it is somewhat scalable. I also included some boxes for common DPS AAs, although they were unfortunately heavily estimated due to lack of good info. If anybody has any feedback or wants to point out errors, corrections, or ommisions, please post here. I'd love to iron the bugs that I'm sure exist in this.

To adjust for proc rate increases, just modify the proc damage (ie GSot4W 75DD plus 40% is the same as 100DD with no mod so I put in 100).
