Soloing Old Content
Ok, time for a fun thread.
Have you ever wanted to go back and gank that raid mob that you spent countless hours with your guild wiping over and over when it was current content?
I know I have, and now with the way things are at 90 and gear and power etc... its possible to go back and solo old content and get revenge!
What is everyone solo'ing these days for raid content thats fun?
Time is pretty fun and some of the drops can be useful
I've soloed all of anguish including OMM (though he isn't a real challenge tbh), and Vish so far. I've been tempted to try sullon zek but haven't found the time.
I've been soloing Vish for a good 4 months now (since january). The fight takes a lil while - about 40 mins - mainly due to being the only one to get cures.

Tried 3 relic dragons and Porthio/Nightshade this week. They were much easier then I expected. I guess I will try Daosheen next but I don't know if I can do the clicks fast enough.
I'd also like to try Shyra and some of the other blood raids soon. It's harder finding other people to help me request the task then it is to kill the mobs.

I want to get that crit aa reward from progression eventually.
Vish is certianly doable with gear, maxed hastened and crit mend, maxed staff block, a good 2hb, and perfected lev ;p
Truly, I first tried boxing vish a while back to get my bots the aug, and it was a nightmare because of all the adds and the fluxing. Easier to solo than to box, easier to solo than to group even lol.
Sullon Zek would be rough. She has a lot of adds and that DA AE thingy would be tough to deal with I bet.

Soloing tacvi took a little magic out of the game for me.
I'm really not sure if I will try sullon. I'm really not one to attempt stuff when I've nothing to gain past being able to say "I did it".
I'm farming vish and handing out scales to alts and apps, but the moment my shaman gets the aug I'm gonna drop it lol.

Vish reward was the one where spells may bounce.

Dumb question time. I just came back after about six years and I don't know anything about this content. Is alla still the authority on this stuff or has a new site taken the crown? As far as raid mobs go the Jiva, Trakanon, and Venril Sather all had a dept to pay and I was happy to collect it.

Mastruq event for key to High Priest in Txevu
High Priest in txevu for key to Zun
Tried to zolo Zun, was going really well until I was banished.
Then for good measure I took out the Cragbeast Queen.
All was done with my merc at hand
Cynosure was the WORST because he keeps rezzing his buddies, has an endurance drain and I'd have to jump off kill the healer, back on, rinse repeat for about an hour lol
You can solo zun with a tank merc.
I've soloed Zun without a merc.

What's your secret for the banish?
Summons you back?
If not you can shove yourself in the corner and click an illusion like skele and it pops you out.
The banish is annoying, just have to run back really fast before he regens. Illusion through the door works.
As for dps, you have to use things like FPP and cloud of fists to do damage. I used pet weapons also, etc. Hopefully summoned pets can keep on aggro long enough for you to get back to him.
It wasn't a quick fight.

Is all of Tacvi soloable? I'd assume so.

Yes, I've done it a few times. It's actually harder than anguish imo. The mobs there ignore AC.

Vish and OMM being soloable is mind-blowing to me. The power gains since I was raiding are insane. Very cool stuff.

I just wondered if now days you can sneak up to naggy or vox and 1 round them before you are banished?

Would be very hard. Not only do you have to do about 32k dmg instantly, but you have to do it before you are aggroed. They aggro you from very far away.

IF you could get behind them, your best bet would be Scaled and Six-step. Even with synergy and sk firing on a single hotkey, you won't have time for sk to land before you get banished. (I'm saying this because, while I often open a fight with synergy + stunning, a mob will get a round in before my stun lands, even though synergy is the attack that aggros the mob, and sk is on the second line of my hotbutton.)
Getting there in the first place, however... Maybe if you got lucky, you could hit sneak and camp out while the mob isn't there, and camp in behind it. But trying to actually approach it would be difficult.
I've had 3x16k non crits with six+iron
The camp trick would be awesome, I think this would only work on nagafen as Vox is surrounded by IG's who would probably see and aggro you before you could finish logging in. Interesting idea though, probably easier for other classes.

I tried something like this a while ago when I was in Permafrost for some reason I don't remember. I had another character plus a merc holding agro on Vox and everything - I was able to walk up to her and hug her.
The banish hits before the damage does.
Does /rewind work? Back in Deathknell if you got ported somewhere during vertigo you could do /rewind if you did not move after being ported and you would end back up where you started.
No, Naggy and Vox banish you outside the zone.

If you really want to kill vox naggy, you can probably solo them with a decently geared 52 mage. My friend and I (a necro) had 52 alts and were able to kill them both duo. Was pretty fun too.
