Thought some people might find this interesting. The man is Kevin Connolly (grad from my university, our convocation speaker this coming year and has made the media circuit with his books and photography). He was born without legs so gets around on a skateboard. His unique view on the world produces some fantastic photography, and in this case what it would be like to skateboard through a city.

This is too funny, the fact that they are serious is the part that had me in tears.

They have songs that I really enjoy on all their albums. Here is my favorite song from their newest album, 'Swoon':

And this MTV Unplugged set is what got me started on them last summer:

Nice, I'm sure you'll have a great time! I'm definitely jealous as I've been watching their tour dates announced over the past month and unfortunately it doesn't look like they'll be venturing through Pittsburgh / Cleveland at all :(

Is that "Space Battleship" supposed to be like a live action Robotech?

Edit: Nevermind, looks like it's actually a live action of Space Battleship Yamato.

That is a funny interview mostly because of how accurate it is. I find I either really like or feel a great disdain for that comedian's usual stand up.

His new show on FX, Louie, has some good moments. I recommend it for the good parts. The not so good parts aren't good. =P

The old spice viral commercial campaign on YouTube is hilarious. There's several more on that channel.

For those who don't know, Machete was originally a fake trailer that aired in the full length double feature film that Rodriguez and Tarantino made called Grindhouse. Tarantino did one about a psycho stuntman called Deathproof, and Rodriguez's contribution to the film was called Planet Terror.

There were several fake trailers before each feature, and they were an homage to the old trashy grindhouse flicks that a lot of people grew up watching in the 70's and 80's. People liked the Machete trailer so much that Rodriguez eventually decided just to make the film.

I thought that machete trailer looked familiar for some reason.

Classic link surfing on you tube lead me to this video, and completely reminded me why I used to like anime, and adult swim in general way back in the day.
