    Default explain Wu's

    Ok such a newb question,

Can someone explain wus a little to me. you train in it then when you use like your flying kick or tail rake. you have the chance to kick up to 3 times? or a chance to hit it once then immediately hit it again? can someone give a small explanation of this.

also, Wus or ferocity 1 for next AAs spent?

    thanks <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/images/emoticons/smile.gif ALT=":)">

Wu's will fire off two more "special" attacks when you use one of your current special attacks. So when you Flying Kick something, you may also fire off a Kick and a Round Kick. Or you might fire off three Flying Kicks. Or any combo of specials... I've seen three FK's before for pretty nice damage, but most of the time you get middle range attacks for another 10-40 damage each which isnt bad. Its worth the AA's, at least in its current form.

the damage it does isn't worth 2 aa points in my opinion...I just got it to help max out all my skills =).

I parse about 5 more DPS with it than I did without it... So IMO it is worth getting. I dont know of any other AA skills that only require 2 points that increases DPS by even close to that much. (And yes, i've tried and tested more than a few offensive AA skills.)

Wu's is currently bugged, at every level, you get 3 alt attacks, every time you hit your alt attack hotkey. At some point in the future they will most likely fix/nerf it.

That being said, go with Wu's before CF1. At the moment you'll get more DPS from Wu's than CF1, and I doubt if/when they nerf Wu's L1 will be less DPS than CF1. It's also really cool to see all of your old skills max out.

Yes it raises your DPS. But by how much? not much. But what it does for you is increase your chance get riposte (I may be wrong) but it is for sure eats up you critical hits.

If you weilding 2HB with high DMG - u rather crit hit with that weapon and not with "wu Additional attack".

I much note though sometimes it tripple kick or strick in high 80s 90s sometimes - but as low as 1 or 2dmg as well.

I rather put that points into LR or Feriosity or PB.

    Well..

Currently for a MEASLY 2 points you increase your DPS by more than 9 points in ferocity do, 9 points in fury of the ages do, and 6 points in ingenuity....

    Get it.

There probably isn't a better skill out there than Wu, atleast for the meager cost of 2 AAXP points. Sure it will be nerfed eventually, but for the mean time its definitely worth it. And who knows, SoE may keep it the way it is, and simply add more functionality.

I love wu's. I trained it a while ago and it's just spiffy.

The only downfall is that you get more aggro.. plus you push the mobs like a mofo, especially if you use epic fists, heh.

Has anyone seen or know if it uses Dragon Punch? I haven't seen it use that attack, at least looking at my Dragon Punch (120) still being that level since I got WU's. If it does was thinking might be fun to put 5 points into the Class AA to turn Dragon Punch into a knockback =p

I have heard it does not use dragon punch or tail rake (if you are an iksar).

The only time you proc Dragon Punch is when you hit the hotkey lableled "Tail Rake" (Dragon Punch for you softskins). If you hit any other alt attack and get an extra strike due to Wu's it will not proc.

So basically Dragon Punch has exactly the same effect/hit/proc without Wu's. Which is definatly the safest way to implement it.

Yeah I hate free damage too, it makes the mobs die faster..........Trust me on this....There is no downside to this skill, I wont go into details here. ITs one of the only win/win things we get.

dragon punch doesnt get linked into 2nd or 3rd hits, you can start with it but it will not go off in the middle. (Due to the potential DP problem with KBs)

Check your logs if you want, you will find the top most "strike" you can do non-crit will be 67. Dragon punch has a max 30 more than that (97) so its easy to see its not linked

Another way to see that dragon punch (tail rake) is not linked in wu's is to use it for a while and look at the skill ups you get. Since I purchased Wu's, I have gotten large amounts of skill ups with everything except for tail rake which I recieved none (ignoring the few times when I actually clicked my tail rake button to see if I would actually skill up). On the down side, you won't improve dragon punch without actively using it, but on the bright side, if you bought the DP AA skill, you don't have to worry about it randomly going off durring battles. Perhaps not the most elegant solution, but its better than nothing.

I still use flying kick to start the combo, my reasoning is I know Im using my highest damage skill first and possibly getting another in the combo. I used strike to get skills up because of the refresh time.

Wow this sounds so cool. Wish I could get more levels and start. But alas I don't think my monkie will ever break 55 level. Since she is a for fun alt and the last thing my guild needs is more monk alts /sigh.
