View Full Version : My solution for monks desireability in High End groups...

Put on my 2 SoDs. (Just bought another tonite.). I now have 3200 Unbuffed Hitpoints. Cast my Amulet of Necropotence to remove my aaxp Title and /shout 60 Warrior LFG!. What the fuck why not? I migrate damage much better than a warrior, I am at 1260 ac unbuffed rite now. and I will hold agro just as well with my SoDs.

What do you guys think? If they are going to nerf my dear FG to shit, and resists are gayed rite now. Why not have a 60 Iksar monk throw on 2 SoDs Illusion skeleton and LFG as a 60 warrior <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/images/emoticons/glasses.gif ALT="8)">

Nah, not when I cant play my class how I have for the last 3 years.

Not dishonest in the least, those 2 SoD's exist, and I will follow threw with this. Lets so how far I can take it when I return from my EQ break. If I cant solo in my favorite zones, and am forced to group in high areas such as CT, a 60 warrior will group in there way before a 60 monk. Thus lowers my exp per hour further.

i tank better than most common paladins and SK's

i have almost the same amount of hp than most common warriors until they start getting nd..(i had 75 fewer hp than a 60th level warrior i met)

i kick ass.

Monks have a harder time finding a group than warriors? WTF are you talking about? I get tells from random folks asking me to join their groups when I not even in the zone, if you're having trouble finding groups something else is wrong.

Actually in CT I frequently see monks get picked as MT as long as there is a shaman and enchanter in the group.

What server are you on that would not want a monk in a group? I never see that happen in most zones, hell, I find that warriors have more problems getting groups than monks.

you have 2 sods, FBSL and a COM your guildless, and you have trouble finding a group, why are you grouping again?

get a shaman, do CT yourself or go to WW and do wyverns/dragons they are great exp in there.

gear is not to shabby for a guildless lvl 60 monk i might say

I know where you are coming from Stamina. Granted im still only lvl 55, but i have trouble finding groups even tho i do as good a job tanking as the 57 warrior and the 59 pally in my guild/alliance. its possible the desirability of monks depends on the server. Tholuxe Paells is overrun with twink monks.. just today i had to sit in disgust as a twinked monk from one of our Uber Guilds camped raster.. guy was running 2 computers. One of his alts was camping raster while his main was raiding on another computer. some servers are worse than others i guess.

What... the... F&#@??? My groups are always looking for more DPS + feign puller for CT and most other groups. I DO send tells to monks in other non-raid zones that aren't LFG where they might be banking or other crap. But they are all either, questing, on the way to a raid, or on the way to a group :

If your a level 60 monk, and can't get a group. It's because people don't like you or something.

My best CT group so far has been (for Sewer camp anyway) 2 60 monks (Bascome as MT, because, well, Bascome > Leksikon³), 1 60 druid, 1 60 shammy, 60 rogue, and some other random casters that cycled through (generally non-cleric). You don't need a warrior or cleric for exp in "challenging" zones, you just need to either a) bring your own group, or b) find a couple people that have some clue as to wtf is going on. Would we have taken a 60 war if there was a good one lfg at the zone? No, there 3 good ones lfg that day and we would have slowed down with one. We did take a cleric when someone left, no big change in how well we did. Don't be so stuck on the idea of "needing" classes, that no longer exists.
