Can you make a reux? If so, blackeyed peas with a little roux and water makes a great dish.

Take a half a whole chicken, put a little water in the pot, season chicken and put it in the pot, will fall apart, delicious.

Jar of tomatoe sauce + any of these (chicken breasts, flank steak, noodles)

Split pea soup (dried peas, water, ham chunks, season, onion)

Chicken Casserole with Russian Dressing

3 whole chicken breasts, split and skinned
1 bottle (8 ounces) of Russian dressing
1 jar (8 ounces) of apricot preserves
1 package (1.5 ounces) of onion soup mix
1 teaspoon of garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon of ground ginger
some vegetable oil spray

A. Rinse and pat the chicken dry.
B. Prepare pot with vegetable spray.
C. Place the chicken inside.
D. Mix the remaining ingredients and pour over the chicken.
E. Cook until the sauce is bubbly and the chicken is no longer pink inside. About 1 hour at 350 F in an oven. I don't remember how long it took with the slow-cooker, but it was so tender it brought tears to the eye.
