well, the patch has ruined eq for me

Thanks to the patch, the little we had for pvp is now completely ruined. root/snare landing 50% of the time with 250 mr is ridiculous.. A lvl 1 landing blind on a lvl 60 with 150 mr is completely stupid..



Either Magic resist is broken, or verant are a bunch of morons..





Now, i play on a low pop server, where a lot of people have to solo for exp... Thanks to verant now even when we solo, the exp will be crap.. WTG verant!



Now soloing the mobs i did for exp before, at lvl 59, i get exp slower AFTER the patch than i did before... And thats with the hell effect off of 59.





If this patch is not modified soon, bye bye eq.. a LOT of the pvp players feel the same way also.

Well, I don't play on a pvp server, (and haven't played at all since patch), but if it is as messed up as you say, and people are so upset as you say, they will surely change it.

Verant will not lose the chance of thousands of lost subscriptions. I wouldn't quit just yet, because if they don't change the magic system (for pvp at the very least), they are more stupid than I thought.

I'd be amazed if they changed the new resist system just because of PvP.

Actually LOS is screwed for casters in a big way now, too, at least in dungeons and places with limited visibility(pretty common in dungeons because of walls, etc).



My shaman often used to fire off his slows by /assisting the puller when he heard an "INCOMING" message, before he ever saw the mob, and the slow would land right when the mob popped into view. Or not land, either way. Sometimes he could debuff the mob with malo on the way in, then start casting slow.



Now, he's going to have to wait until he sees the mob, which very often in dungeons is when it's already right in the camp. He may have to cast two slow-casting spells(malo and slow) before the mob is even slowed, or, if he has only one fail, three spells starting from pretty much when the mob is already in camp. That's a fair amount of time spent.



Offensive spells in general supposedly have to be cast when you can see the mob, too. That will cut back on a fair bit of spell firing, too. My shaman and druid both used to DOT, and my shaman would JBB blast, mobs he couldn't see at first. Now, if a mob flees, he has to leave the camp and chase it to land a blast or a DOT if it turns a corner.



This actually makes things quite a bit harder in some situations.

Maybe VI doesnt know people's play time on the weekdays could *could* be limited. So when you have no time to get a group what do you do? SOLO!



but no, VI didnt like that, they say "fuck that we want you to spend more then 3 hours at a time at least so we can build up our massive egos to suport our tiny little cocks! YAY im brilliant.



Why not just add bonuses to 55+ mobs, and leave the lower ones alone? You just ruined your playtime with the younger people. oh and also. I want my small cloth sandles back! MY twink BST barb cant use them!
