Damn that looks nice!

Not 100% the way i would want it...but its looking smooth!

Personally i have 2 extra windows;

1 for the dmg i do and 1 for the dmg i take.

So basicly your hit window split in half, the upper is my dmg and the lower is dmg done to me.

And i need 2 chat windows but you can edit that yourself <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/images/emoticons/smile.gif ALT=":)">

But looks very nice!

One question though..

What reso are you playing and do you use viewport?

Implaying in 1280 x 1024.

Can i download this somewhere????

I think i wanna try it out <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/images/emoticons/smile.gif ALT=":)">

Keep up the good work!

Looks good.

but 1 tip a thing ALOT of monks like since were a hp dependant class is to have our hp numbers in the biggest font showing somewhere prominent.

Like

3333/3333 in chatfont 5 or whatever right above the hp bar with about 3 cm spacing all around it.

IT is 1280 x 1024 and i do use the view port just forgot the numbers offhand.

As for the HP I can do that and thats a good idea.

I will be finishing this up soon for release along with a possible caster version.

How did you get the flashing red outline around the target box instead of the player window?

There are two ways he could have gotten the box around the target that I know of

1 he moved the player info into the group window and then put the target gauge in the player info box so ever though it doesn't show the player info he still had the red box or

2 he moved the player info into the group window and then made the player window invisiable and placed it right behind the target window so it isn't really the target window blinking but is the player window behind it.

the blinking red box is the player window, it is hard coded in and can not be changed. All i did was make the player window say 150 wide by 35 long, moved the targetting into the viewable area and all other elemnts out of view range.

I use 3 windows for this skin the Hotbuttonwnd.xml which is the large box across the screen, all of the group, player window, and hot buttons reside here with the exception of the actual group "Invite and disband buttons" there is another hard coding issue with them. Playerwindow.xml which is now the taget window modified to show only the target health and percent.

As for the link to this, i have several complaints from ppl that have tried it so far that the windows were defaulting to the normal position instead of the correct position this is bad becasue i use no borders on the windows so you cant move the window without editing code.

whats packed up so far:

uifiles

UI_name_##.ini

can anyone help out with this ?

here is the link

Files here (http://home.ptd.net/~redline/Arete.zip)

any help would be appreciated.

Actually, I went messing around with my UI after I posted the question. I switched the filenames on my target and player windows, then switched the screen item names around on both of them also. Loaded it up and it crashed me to desktop. So I opened up the UIerrors.txt file and it said something about missing PetHP. SO I took the PetHP gauge out of the player window file (the file actually named targetwindow now) and put it back in the target window file (actually the playerwindow now) and it worked perfectly. Obviously this doesn't do any good for pet classes, but it sure works nice for my monk. Now, if only I could change the thickness of the blinking line, I'd like to to stand out a bit more than it does currently.

Can anyone point me to a nice free site for hosting images. I'd like to post some pics of the UI I'm using but don't have anywhere to host the files. Thanks.

This mod works perfectly on for me except that it was making me go LD quite a bit last night. Only used it for a few hours though so maybe it was just a bad connection.

I really like this mod. I do kinda wish that the view screen was a bit bigger but I may just deal with it cuz the mod is so nice.

What you have to do is leave all of the existing elements in each xml file like PET_HP or Player_HP, these are hard coded on the server and MUST be found wihtin its respected file, to work around this problem all you do is add a number or letter to the element like PET_HPa or Player_Name1

Oh yeah, forgot to put this in my last post...

As for the picture hosting, www.strike9.com seems to be a popular choice.
