When i get EQ and alll the expansions in 3 weeks will i have to make my own UI. Or will i have a new UI already made that i can just play off of. I mean do i have to start from scratch or does VI offer likea default new UI? any answers would be appreciated.

there is a default UI provided with EQ.

EQ, the software, will work 100% out of the box. These UIs you are seeing are like "plug-ins". Additions to the game.

Ok thankyou. So what you are saying is you can add on and change it around through code type stuff?

Can't "add on" yet. <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/images/emoticons/frown.gif ALT=":(">

But you can change around the looks and graphics with the XML and tga files. They are apart of the Interface that VI has. It's been made (somewhat) modular. All these changes are just people going in and altering the moduals.

Is it possible to use the default new UI and add graphics behind windows, instead of changing the interface shapes and locations?

Behind? You refering to the background images? Yes. But if you mean a whole image spanning across multiple windows. No, that required XML edits at the least.

Do they have a new Ui that looks like the original EQ ui. where is tlooks like this:

Top Right: name, health bar, stamina bar, mana bar, AA bar

Mid Right: Group, Effects, current target

Bot Right: abilities, combat, socials, who, invite,disband etc...

bot midle: Chat

bot left : Hot buttons and lists of hot buttons

lef middle: Symbol

Left Top:Options, Persona, ETC.

Basically like the original interface except now it would be black. is the default like this one or does anyone have a download for one like this?

I honestly don't keep track of all the interfaces that get release all over the place. Just too much, and considering I really can't play EQ on this laptop. No use in making a UI I like. I'm just a UI hacker, per say. Messing around with the new features.
