Epic - Gnoll Pelts

Is it just me or is BB without Gnoll Pelts anymore? I have spent days looking for pelts. Has the name changed as there seems to be many diffrent skins types, fur, etc.. droping but no pelts at all. <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/images/emoticons/ohwell.gif ALT=":">

When I was collecting them maybe 6 months ago, I managed to dig up quite a few pelts. It was the skin that took me forever. Luckily if you have some cash people might be selling them in the bazaar. Thats how I got my skin.



As for where I got the pelts, I would just walk between the elites room and the commander's room and whale away on any gnoll (newbies permitting, in which case I just told them that I was paying for things and to yell if they got in trouble).

I got the skin with little problem but after 3 days in BB I have yet to find a pelt. I don't know if they are not dropping or maybe the name has changed. They were Scalps at one time no? I am going to try again tonight and see if its just a fluke or not.

They drop almost exclusively off the elites, the commander and sometimes the burly gnolls (the big ones). They are rare.

Yeah the pelts mostly drop off the Elites so camp those.I also had one hell of a time gettin the skin to drop.I was level 30 at the time i decided to do the quest.I slaughtered the whole area multiple times,all the camp spots,I was so bored I soloed the Lord in the pitt.It took hours.It is just luck I guess.I have been in there on and off now just giving the extra pelts to lucky monks.Got rid of most of them.I made a promise to let no monk suffer the same fate as me for something like a freakin rare pelt drop lol.I now know that place backwards and forwards and since I have completed both the headband and sash quests....on to the next one lol.

Another place to check would be the vendors near the entrance to Qeynos or SFG. I usually see at least one of these pelts/skins on these guys whenever I'm in town.

I was just there a couple of days ago - and got several pelts - it was empty so I brought my Level 8 Enchanter there and I brought him to the greenroom are athen wouod log in and clear the floor then log in enchtar eto loot all the fangs. I got atleats 10 pelts to drop in an hour or so but no skins.
