Horrible for you I'm sure, but its really good:
2- 16oz bags of already shredded hashbrown potatoes
1-16 oz sour cream
1-16oz french onion dip
1 can cream of chicken soup
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
1 or 2lbs. of sausage
cook sausage and crumble up.
mix all but sausage and potatoes together.
mix in potatoes
in an 8x13 pan, layer in 1/2 of the potato mix
layer in 1/2 of the sausage
layer remaining potato mix
put remaining sausage on top
bake for 45 min at 350f
alternate: i like to put in a layer of extra cheese before each layer of sausage.
