Sensei Channel Rules and Warden List (2/18/04)

Requirements of the Chat



All that is required of you for the serverwide chat is that you be a monk of the 65th level, and that you understand and will adhere to the channel's rules.



Rules of the Chat



1. I will never flame a member for asking a question or stating an opinion. If a member asks a question that seems stupid, or inapropiate for the forum, please, do not respond. Silence works far better than flaming. If the member makes it a habit, inform a chat moderator, or email me at Ssnakess@mail2hell.com and I will take the necessary action.



2. I will remember that this chat is a serious end game chat room and not ask trivial questions. What is trivial and what is not can vary greatly, but we can all agree that questions like which weapon SoS or SoM are trivial and should never be asked here. This rule will be more player enforced than moderator enforced, so please use discreation.



3. I will never disclose the chat room name or password to those who are not approved members, regardless of level. This is extremely important in preserving the integrity of the chatroom.



4. I will always conduct myself in the behavior befitting of a Grandmaster. It should go without saying that certain behavior is intolerable in the chat. Discussions that are sexual, racial, stereotypical, or breed hatred are not acceptable at Monkly-Business.com and this chat room shall be no different. I have a zero tolerance policy for any such discrepancies. Should a warden request a topic or action to end, please show them respect and do so.



5. I will not excessively spam item links, loot, and/or mob updates. While some of these things are fine in moderation, reporting the health of ubermob x you're fighting every minute, linking every drop from every mob you kill, or any form of 'item link spam' is only going to annoy other members. Please do not do it.



Any discrepancy in the above can result in you being asked to leave the chat, or removed by a moderator. Continued violations will result in your permenant removal from the chat room, and not receiving future password changes.



Once you've read over and agreed to abide by the rules, your next step would be contacting an individual authorized to provide you access to the channel. I've included a list of all Wardens at this time. Please contact your servers wardens first. If you cannot contact one, you may try to contact a warden on a different server. Note: while you are welcome to contact myself via email concerning the channel, the best way is to try to get ahold of me or a warden in-game.

Also, I've been part of the Sensei channel since it began (at least lurking, that is), and the only reason I've not been in recently is that the PW got changed, and Fennin Ro has no warden to tell us what it is.



I'll try sending you x-server tells and we'll see if I can catch you on. If not, if you want to give out your contact info, that would work exceptionally well.

OK i can understand you guys wanting a chat channel that is strictly for you higher ups but is there one for us lower lvl monks who might have a question or two? Like all those trivial questions you hate being asked in the higher up chat channel?? I know alot of people like getting others opinions on what they think would be the better item for them to get or to ask what the next step is in a quest or how was it fighting a specific mob. Maybe someone else has either done that quest or fought that mob an has the answer. But I know for the past 3 or 4 days I have tried to find a serverwide chat for monks considering there seems to be one for every other class that anyone can get on soo got to ask is there one for us or are we just SoL until we hit the big 65 and get your formal approval to speak to the serverwide chat???

Well the standing problem with the channel for the last god knows how many months is that the channels reset and the ownership of Sensei went to Test.Boxing who has been MIA for a long ass time. All the Wardens lost their mod so basically the only person with mod privilages is the person who has been in there the longest. Its not a big deal having Mod powers but it is fun. The only way around it is to either a) Get Boxing online long enough to /setowner <someone else> or b) make a new channel which I and a few others tried once but no one was paying attention so only like 10 people came over. Any other suggestions go ahead and drop me a line on Luclin.Vivisec
