View Full Version : Absor....hello?.... Bueler?.....umm...ya
To me it has become incredibly obvious that this nerf has hit where it was not supposed to. Lucky my i decided to switch over classes (60 rogue stripped for monk gear because i got sick of raiding and wanted a good ole solo experience, great timing eh?). Seriously has there been any indication at all that our concerns are even being heard let alone acknowledged? I cant comprehend what verrant was thinking with this nerf, i mean seriously do they even PLAY THEIR OWN GAME? hmm guess not, cuz ya know i see monks tanking those high level uber mobs all the time /sarcasm off. wtf, when was the last time you saw a monk MT Vindi, Statue, ToV mobs, whatever, and im not even going into the bigger stuff, it doesnt happen. So what exactly were they supposed to be nerfing.... "uh ya we think people playing monks are having too much fun...ya we cant have that" Nerf stick time!!!
thanks for nothing verrant
(its all been said before but whatever, its my 2cp, maybe if there are enough posts someone will take notice..."oh look, they didnt like the nerf? /gasp)

We wont get a comment. It's exactly the same as when they hit Rangers going into Kunark... VI will just keep their head down and hope the storm will blow over. The whole thing is way to big now for them to publically reverse what they've done, and anything they say will only prolong they hue and cry.
They'll wait a long time until everything has calmed down (many months), and then they'll gradually buff the Monk again. Look at what happened with the Ranger, and how long it took VI to correct things (that class sat completely and uterly broke for a year), and you'll realise the way it'll play out.
Small, discrete, isolated nerfs VI will comment on. The big stuff tends to just have them looking at things saying "oh fuck".
If you want in on the latest power class(es) on the rise, take a look at the post 60 pets.... Pet classes seem to have gone full circle from pre-Kunark through the nerfing, and back to a point where (I'd need to check) I think at 62nd level a Beastlord gets a 60th level pet (and its not their highest level pet)... I think Necros the same, and Mages slightly better... would need to check exact figures, but it's in that ballpark. Again I'd need to check but I think the BST pet jumps from 41st, 43rd, 45th, 47th to 60th. (Picked BST simply as I know them better).
Now I know, and you know that them's huge swings in power. But it's hard to really know what VI thinks when it starts just swinging balance one way and then another. I'm happy for the changes the pet classes are getting. Genuinely. It just leaves me confused as to why VI thought my class was so overpowering.
