View Full Version : Solo Parse in 61 vs 60

Considering I solo or duo 99.9% of the time i'm XP'ing, I decided to go ahead and log some kills again now that i've hit 61. Basicly the only thing changed since the two logs was the level (60 -> 61) and I added the first level of Punishing Blade AA skill (as far as i can tell it helps) Please also note that my AAXP was moving at a similar rate as in 60 (barely slower) while mobs were a bit easier to solo. I also noticed I resisted spells much more often (as a 60 would resist spells better than a 55 would, even with the same level of resists).



In any case, my level 60 numbers parsed to this:



Target: A Small Mushroom x 20

52.60 DPS

57.93% Accuracy

37.72% Evasion

22.68% Defense



With exactly the same buffs and only the new AA skill and level 61 being different, here is my 61 parsed numbers:



Target: A Small Mushroom x 20

56.99 DPS

60.02% Accuracy

40.93% Evasion

24.71% Defense



Not the largest samples in the world, but a noticeable increase in all catagories. Well worth the time to hit 61 if you solo. On the other hand, the number of blue mobs at 61 slims down a good bit so if your "camp" turns light blue or green, you might have to find a new solo spot.



Also, stats of note here:

HP 2906 (w/ low level cleric buffs)

AC 1184 (again w/ low level cleric buffs)

ATK 1146 (w/ epic effect)

That's a pretty good improvement. Considering no skill increases. Not sure how much of a factor that new AA is though.



I think the biggest problem with dinging 61 is the amount of hunting spots that were blue at 60 and become light blue at 61.

Yea, I was rolling through 3 or 4 shrooms back to back without needing to mend or bandage. Since I had the cleric handy, to speed the process I just tossed myself a heal when i got to 40% health and went back to killing. (Only had to heal every 3-4 kills, even less if I used mend.) So although some mobs are light blue now, you mow through them faster while taking less damage, thus speeding your killing up making up for the slight xp loss.



Now level 61 on the other hand... Thats a whole new beast! I got about 20 kills into 61 and barely see any color at all. I'm not worried about dieing, but man will that suck to get back after a death.

61 has a 5 percent xp loss. <I know, I have tested it several times already>.

If you obtained a POP AA skill and deleveled to 60, was the POP skill still useable?

If it has a level requirement of 61, no it wouldnt work again until you were 61.
