Those of you who use DKP to distribute loot: how do you deal with LDON raids and DKP? Like, say you get 45 people at the raid and only can take 36? Love to hear if anyone has come up with creative solutions on this. Thanks!

We don't do LDoN raids, because it excludes too many in the guild.. it makes those left out feel unwanted.. it causes divisiveness, and causes problems (like you said) with "reward" (DKP) systems where you exclude people who are willing (but unable) to raid.

Seems like GoD instanced "raids" will have the same issue..

/sigh.

People that show up for the LDoN raid, but are not picked to get "in" the actual raid, get full DKP points. Hopefully our members do not "abuse" this and ruin it... as of right now, it seems to work nicely. But we only raid LDoN about once every 1.5-2 weeks or so.

Bottom line is: Going from a 72 cap (PoTime) to a 36 cap, is just crap. WTG SOE!

Cant wait for this GoD crap to put a similar damper on raids... bleh.

We did few LDON raid. Because it's only for 36 people, we are not giving out any raid pts for this raid. We only do this when we have absolutely nothing to do and want to raid somthing. Yeah, limiting to 36 people suck ass.

It's funny. My small guild would love an opportunity to do 36 person raids - but we can't, because we we're not EP/Time geared. We have to expand up to 72 person raids (which isn't going to happen) in order to get geared appropriately for 36 person raids. Great. As currently structured, LDoN raids don't seem to serve anyone's best interests.

With VT/SSra quality gear, there is no reason why your guildnt couldnt raid LDoN. Sure gear helps, but there are different "levels" of LDoN raids, you could do just fine with a 36 person VT geared raid.

Not VT/SSra either - Vindi/Vhaksiz/Xanamech type of stuff atm. Actually, we probably have the firepower to start doing SSra - but my server is so crowded it is very difficult to find any SSra targets up. The fact that LDoN raids would be instanced is what is so appealing about them on a crowded server - and so disappointing that they aren't available.
