I have never attempted this cycle *yet .. highly contested still on BB.. there is a mob there that while fighting, if you die 4 mobs spawn, anyways I had a monk ask me this question..
He asked if FDing during that fight to lose aggro or what have ya.. would spawn 4 mobs.. he asked because someone was yelling at him not to FD, that if he FDs it would spawn 4 mobs.
I told him thats a load of crap and that person prolly had no idea what the hell he was talking about. Just logically thinking here.. the *program is looking for a key word to spawn 4 mobs ie: Loading Please Wait ... or soandso was slain .. whatever the keyword in the program.
Can someone confirm that I was correct or am I the one full of shyt.

i'm 99.9% positive FD'ing, or even those AA swarm pets dieing will spawn the 4 mobs for each one
I know the Vulak ring is the same way during some of the waves...that was fun the first and only time we've tried it

Uh, i've never had that happen on ahvi, it MIGHT only happen if you actually have aggro and fd, i dont know, i've made it a point to never get aggro.... Buuuttt, just fding during fight shouldnt spawn anything.

I know for sure FD will spawn 4 skeletons. DO NOT USE FD!!! Yeah, as well as those weapon pet things too.

I just read this, this might be true but why would you want to FD if you are not aggroed? Just follow the rule, if there's a chance to spawn 4 more mobs from FD, don't do it at all.

I meant during the actual fight, i've never pulled aggro off the main tank. The four skeletons might only spawn if you are currently tanking and fd off, I dont know for sure, but i've fd'd many many many times during this mob and n e v e r had skeletons pop due to it, in fact we happened to do carprin about 2 days ago, and went as per usual.

Skellies spawn if anyone, anywhere in zone, pet or PC, dies or FDs while Ahvi is up. I tested it by FDing at ZI as soon as Ahvi spawned.
BTW doing Carprin cycle at same time as Bert or Paffa is bad.

helll, those things keep spawning after he's dead too. first time we hit him, killed him, 2 skels got loose from CC and it just grew and grew and grew, i think the log file showed at least 140+ skels spawning, and they take longer than 30 min to depop.

I dont know when you tested this, but it hasnt been true in a while. It is ONLY inside Ahvi's room (or very very close nearby) that the death/fd rule apply.

Basically if you get on Ahvi's hate list at all and then suddenly go to indif status to him the response is for 4 skeletons to spawn. This prevents him from summoning even more skeletons should you be able to kill any he spawns in the first place. After you have attacked him if you die/FD anywhere within the range of this particular effect(even outside the room) 4 skel will spawn. Add to that the fact that if you FD, the skells that spawn on you see through your FD and kill you very quickly. You would then be responsible for not 4 skells but 8. :P
These are just my conclusions drawn from personal experience having been on around a dozen Carpin cycle raids on E'ci.

Heh my guild actually had a full wipe out to this @#%$ about six months ago. Had a cleric die to ramp, and a few of those swarm pets die to enrage. Next thing ya know 20 or so skels running around beating arse, and it just grew and grew to 100 or so =p
We had even been in the elementals months before this happened. I still remember lying there fd staring at all of 'em, was getting about 1 fps hehe.

That be it there... Anything that's on hit hate list and then suddenly is removed (FD, die, despawn) will cause adds.
Although, I thought it was 5 skeles per. They always end up going back to 5 different spots when they return to spawn.
There's even an interesting bug in this; We found out if you die to the skeletons even after Ahvi dies, you'll spawn adds.
We managed to kill Ahvi (multiple times) with only 5 adds in came and then wiped due to people dieing to the 5 adds causing more adds to spawn.

For me it seems that 4 skeletons adds if ever you die when you are on Ahvi's or any skeleton aggro list. 3 months ago, you could FD in his room successfully without getting killed as our necros/SK/monk usually did when we had skelly too many adds.
Btw, the most skeletons we had at one time was about 480. 60 person raid, one necro dies (aggro from overdotting), rest dies on adds. We SoS drag back one room. After rez the mage do his AE mod rod that hits the FD SK in Ahvi's room, thereby aggroing all the skeletons on the mage...
Btw: the skeletons despawn before the script-timer on this part of the event goes out, so you can rez and med up and try again without restarting at Caprin.

Did Carprin 3 days ago and all is the same. All you have to avoid is to die to the mob.
So no deaths, no pets, no pet weaopns , no wizard pets, ... you got the idea.
FD dont spawn Skels.

FD definitely spawns skeletons.
Escape spawns skeletons.
Fading Memories spawns skeletons.
Pets dying spawn skeletons.
Dying spawns skeletons.
Basically, don't do anything to try and lose aggro in this fight.

hmm, send in a shakerpage squad after a wipe to clean up. hehehe. 4 warriors w/ earthshakers (slowed), then 1 bard to do group DA once they fire off their rampages. only issue would be framerate to actually get near them, and then controlling the push. be great XP for the raid tho.

yay !! /cheer me ... finally made it past this event after 5-6 failed attempts ... funny thing happened along the way, killed Avhi and only had 8 skellies. Damn if one didn't get loose causing a full wipe .... just a guess, musta had 120+ skellies before it was all said and done. Luckly a rogue was able to escape .. was able rezz and recover.
three more mobs to do .. TT (never online when she gets hammered /sigh), Bert and RZtW
