I've had my VT key for a while now but have never even set foot in the place yet. However, it could be possible that I will be joining a guild doing it regularly in the future.

My question is, what items would be worth it to bid on ? Trying to make a list and any help would be appreciated.

I'd put the aten mask in that group also.

Sure PoTime can replace it but it will replace fungus and aten neck too.

I think this mask is unique in that sure you may give up like 20 hps by keeping it instead of say a Fennin mask or something, it has a silly amount of AC on it. Other than that it's requivalent to anything else you can get in PoP outside of time.

In general monks tend to lose a bit of ac with the Ton Pos gear (especially if you had flayed barb legs) so I think this is a special mask imo <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/images/emoticons/smile.gif ALT=":)">

I'm in a Time guild and I never plan on replacing my Talisman of Vah Kerrath under any circumstances.

Talisman of Vah Kerrath is the item from VT. Definately something you should get.

That's an awful lot more hps and atk. My point is that it's debatable. Before time, there is no debate: There's no better neck than Aten neck. Kill quarm and you might replace it depending on your priorities.

The lunar fungas scale tunic now has something new added to the description of Fungal Regrowth, or maybe I never noticed it before. Under the description, it says it " increases health regeneration and movement", or something along those lines. Have somebody link you one, interesting.

The veil of flames is a MUST in my opinion, as is the shrink bracer, and if you're an ikky, the circlet of disguise ( illusion human).

Gear wise, get the Aten Neck, and ATEN PANTS. Sheesh, people always forget about the pants. The leg guard of shadows are great, and though I haven't gotten around to it yet, putting a 40 hp aug on 'em makes 'em a little bit nicer.

In the 15-20 VT clearing we did we NEVER got a single fungus tunic or aten legs to drop. It was very depressing for the monks <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/images/emoticons/frown.gif ALT=":(">

I want like one more thing from VT...a ring of resistance or two!

I went for:

Lunar Fungi - the win, hands down.

AE summon water thingy - fun for the whole raid!

veil of flames - makes rogues cry!

41% haste belt - because haste is so abundant

I picked up a few others toys, but I'd say those are the "essentials"

You are going to be blowing a lot of points for an aten neck against the casters, but it it indeed a nice peice.

Things I got from Vex Thal:

1st time- Haste shoes dropped. I needed a haste upgrade. No argument there.

2nd time- Girdle of Focus dropped. I was still wearing Spider Fur. No argument there.

3rd time- Ring of the Crimson Bull. I like the name. And now, with its new clicky, it's a great junk buff tool.

I weigh the upgrades I got against the potential upgrade from an Aten Neck and realized that I did much better upgrading a few different slots with HUGE upgrades, than I would have done going from Silent Fang Necklace to Aten Neck.

And in my guild the ONLY way I would have been able to get an Aten Neck is to not loot anything for quite a long time, just to have the points to compete.

Other items I'm interested in from Vex Thal:

-Lunar Fungi ... I'm not that interested in this anymore since I recently got the mistmoore BP and dropped a 25 hp augment in it, making it a 100 hp BP. It'd be an upgrade for sure. But not a HUGE enough upgrade for me to consider just yet.

-Mark of Shadows ... I need new sleeves. These might do it for me.

-A cloak upgrade. Maybe.

-The human illusion crown. Cause I'm HUMAN! :P

-The Fire Elemental illusion crown. For fun.

-Aten Neck or Aten Earring. I doubt I'll have the points though the next time we go in there, and I'm really trying to save my points for something else right now.

Of the big ticket items, for me, it'd be Earring, Neck, Lunar Fungi in that order.

OK we had a FREAKING AMAZING weekend... the servers were crashing and had SIX VT CLEARINGS in FIVE DAYS. We were exhausted. From Friday to Tuesday we got 6 Atens, 3 Emperors, 2, Cursed, 1 Seru and 1 Agnarr (in a pear tree). We finished clearing VT on Saturday afternoon and headed to SSRA, the server crashed adn we went back and cleared VT again - that morning they ran a stability patch and damn up again... this continued with nightly patches .. .. OMG CHRISTMAS.
