View Full Version : HElP - I CANT LOG IN

hey all,



I have been using the pre aug 14 Geist Mod. I am having a problem getting in, I get to the screen in the log in process where I can see my characters, but when i press on the character I want to use, it throws me back to the original CONNECT screen.

Im thinking that I need to go back in to the game using the default (NON MOD) file, but how do i get EQ to access that file, if i cant get into the game to type /loadskin default.

i had the same problem, only mine crashes to desktop.

i got around it by changing the file UI_Vettee_74.ini to UI_Vettee_74.ini1 making it usless. Vettee is my character name so find your EQ directory (C:/programfiles/everquest is the default) but this will only allow you to use the default skin because if you type /loadskinUIMOD it will crash just like always

ok so i dont know how to edit posts, but anyways there is a post on how to fix it i failed to see the first time through. explains what to do perfektlie

You need to update your files in the customized folder. They added some new stuff that its looking for and when it pops to that folder where you added to the custom stuff it cannot find what it needs.



This will probably happen about everytime they patch the xml files..P

I cant even log in using the default skin. It sends me to the desktop after I choose my character.

I am crashing to desktop after a few seconds at the moment too 8(
