View Full Version : For you Time enabled monks

My guild has just become Time enabled and looking ahead at the loot, there is the obvious disparity of vengeance and atk items (with a few exceptions). People keep saying they will modify/upgrade these loots but how can we be sure? They have added new effects (see other post) that may or may not be cool but regardless most do not compare with vengeance for pure dps anyway. There does seem to be a definite avoidance boost (see FOH forums) but it remains to be seen whether we will become prominent pullers again.

So, what have you guys found is worth upgrading over your old EP stuff? The reason I ask is I have not filled out my Ton Po's set yet and may just hold on a few slots if there is an obvious upgrade slot in Time.

We have been in time almost 2 months, so far ring, earrings, belt, and weapons are the only clear big upgrades that we have seen drop with any frequency. We are still strugling to make it through Tier4 in the time frame (as in we have not reached 5). So EPs wise there is not too much cross over for me. My EP upgrades came predominantly from plane of Fire. You can follow my magelo to see my upgrade path. I have been unlucky winning the stupid stage 1 earring (as you can tell). So the short answer is that jewelery and weapons are the main upgrades I am seeing guild monks try for.

Best thing you can do is do what I did. Balance out your Time and EP loot to max out atk and still get HPS from some of the Time Items. I am about 20 over the atk cap but still have like 7 time loots on me. Its just a mix and match game at the moment.
