View Full Version : FD failure (yes I know of the bug)

Fighting in KC right now, I'm not exaggerating when I say that 4 out of 5 FD are being ignored by mobs, no failure message, rinse/repeat to no effect. I know how bad the fd bug hits KC, but I've *never* seen it fail this much with no message. I kinda scoffed at others reporting this in relation to the nerf but now it has me wondering. Also identical thing happening in ME and in Velks earlier today and last night.

That problem actually got worse before the nerf a couple weeks ago and is bad in many zones not just kc. Last night in hate I watched myself and a necro both get killed by a mob after going FD. The necro had not even engaged the mob and I had conned the mob as indifferent after the FD, but he still came up and killed me in one quad of 400+ damage each hit before killing the necro. I have had lots of problems in ME and UP as well as KC

Turn autoattack off before you FD; no monsters in Velk's believed my FD with autoattack on, every single one believed it when i turn it off then immediately FD.



Same for other places as well.

I've had the same problem in KC, I turn auto attack off, FD, con the mob, indifferent, then suddently it starts beating my head in again. Happened like 4 times in a row with no failure messages. I finally went to 3rd person view and checked it out. After I turn auto attack off and FD, my toon falls to the ground, mob cons indiff, then for no good reason, my toon takes a swing at the mob (never does any damage) but the mob is insta KOS again... anyone else noticed this?

Yes yes, its the fd bug we all know and hate. Now if they ever got around to fixing it, but i doubt they will, hell they havent fixed bards yet.

If you are in movement when you FD < ATK Off >, such as moving forward or slightly backward the FD will not fail < Unless you get the messsage of a TRUE failed FD >. I have been in KC for a long time now and I have delt with this many times. If I just move back or forward just before I FD I dont have a problem. But if I just stand in one spot I stand a good chance of getting smacked after FD.
