View Full Version : Rather silly question!
I'm playing my first monk ever, I have played a variety of classes in the past but never one as kick ass as my new monk! ) Well here's my question, I'm going insane with all the skills we have to master, but my main question is this. With the special attack skills, do you all recommend raising them all or just the newest one we have gotten? I.E. Stop training kick for tiger claw? Or should I try and level them all up?

.. skill as much as you can -- focus on raising that one. For tough fights, you might want to have your second best special (the highest skill-rated one) to fall back on, but mostly just use the top end special. Once you reach 65 and you put a few points in Wu's, all your other skills will go up naturally without any special effort.

As far as kicks go, I dumped the old one for new one each time. With all other skills work em work em work em, i.e. safe fall, mend (everytime hotkey pops use it until you hit 100 wether you need it or not) I used 2 1hb at my lower lvl's but everytime I dinged i put them in inventory and raised my H2H the 5 points then got them out again...raise sneak as fast as you can..do 5 per lvl, all monk skills are very important and you'll use them a lot, and you'll be happy you raised them.

In an XP group, usually no one will notice if you are practicing older special attacks, so feel free to go back and work on them after you cap your current best skill for the level you are at. Just don't forget to switch back to your "good" attack after you ding.
I spent most of the 50s capping my old special attacks. It's kinda lame to be doing kicks, round kicks and tiger claws against clockwork golems, but no one ever noticed. At least they didn't say anything.
