View Full Version : Defense wasn't lowered that much

Just dinged 58 a few days ago and when I was fighting in Seb i got:

You have become better at Defense (252)

So doesn't look like we were nerfed that much.

Umm... yeah.

Can't argue with that kind of logic.

yeah.. and I still get paid the same as i have for the last 3 years, so everything must be fine.. Unless that 252 doesn;t buy me what it did 3 years ago.

Sure - your defense cap is the same - unfortunately you are on a different mitigation table now <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/images/emoticons/frown.gif ALT=":(">

Good logic Fatal...

Going forward... does that mean its time for a new 'job'? hehe

Or just keep working in an environment that isn't as good as it used to be?

Yes it's our new mitigation table that is the problem. If you are high enough in AC that your well above the mobs you are fighting atk rating you notice little or no difference. However if you are at or below the mobs atk rating in AC your in for a world of pain and hurt. So unfortunately this nerf hits the non uber and casual monk dead center. While for the most part still allowing Uber monks to tank decent exp mobs. It only would really effect top tier monks against uber mobs with high attack ratings where everyone mitigates the same and in that case they would mitigate slightly worse.

Guess that's up to each individual person isn't it?

I mean, some folks are happy just to be working..

Others feel that if they aren't moving forward they are falling behind..

And the last group will keep working at the same place no matter how poor they are treated or rewarded.

It's up to you. You do what you have to and the rest of us will do what we have to.

Me personally, If I stop enjoying what I'm doing, I go elsewhere.
