Sneak Change Last patch?

I am invised and sneaking when I right click on a banker in Katta.. Invis drops like always, but also, sneak drops!



So, I wait a second.. re-sneak and then right click on the banker while not invised. Sneak does not drop.



So, I re-invis and then sneak and then click off invis.. sneak does not drop.



So, is sneak droping when you right click on a vendor while invised a change? I don't recall this happening before.

From what I remember invis will break sneak when it drops. Thats why most rogues HATE to be invised at all.

Ok I'm seeing the complete opposite it I can sneak flawlessly and can trader/buy/bank whilst invis.



As a sidenote I could never figure out why two invis characters couldn't trade <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/images/emoticons/ohwell.gif ALT=":">

I've gone into sneak mode while invisible, dropped invisible, and maintained sneak. I did this a little less than a year ago when I went to get my Dragon Tooth Choker while I was doing the part in Kael.

You're thinking of Hide.

Sounds like a case of bad luck really...



Rogues that are already using hide&sneak will appear if you invis them and it drops. (or just Hide alone) However I dont believe it has any effect on Sneak alone.

I'm afraid that this wasn't just bad luck. I was 2 for 2 on reproducing it. As someone who has spent 4 levels in Katta I believe this is something that has changed as I never remember it happening before. I use a 21 druid to heal / DS myself between fights so I have gone to the bank with invis on many many times and never noticed it before.



Oh, on the last line of my original post vendor should have been banker.



Again, this was SPECIFICALLY sneak dropping when invis dropped bacuse of right-clicking on a banker. Not invis dropping because it wore off or I clicked it off.



On a positive note, I parsed the dozen guards I had killed last night and I see no significant change in DPS taken vs. before the patch. I did see a change in average damage, (from 64 to 67) per hit. Rogue comment on this (we use invis (hide) and sneak together alot):



For rogues, hide (invis) and sneak USED to work together like this:

- Have both up

- Click on banker, merchant, to loot corpse etc, and both buttons stay active on your screen, but hide is broken on the server, you are just not informed of it. Sneak is not broken.



Since a while back (some months maybe), it works like this

- Have both up

- Click in same way as above. This now breaks hide both on the client and the server, but ALSO breaks sneak, at least on the client side.

- If you have only sneak up and click the same way, sneak stays up on both server and client.



Rogues have had to learn to turn off hide before doing some action which would uninvis them, since if hide is forcibly removed it now breaks sneak also.
