View Full Version : Melee range

Hello Brothers and Sisters,

I just want to ask the more experienced monks whether standing range has anything to do with how much/effective your hits are? I dont know if its bad luck, but I seem to stand very close (close enough to give my prey a kiss) but sometimes dont hit as hard. Then I stand further, and I hit harder. Please advise whether its just coincidence this is happening, or standing range while meleeing does effect damage. Personally I think not, but knowledge is better than nothing.

No difference re damage output.

During raid type situations, melee's who aren't tanking are encouraged to hit from maximum range, as proximity helps build agro.

Again, while not tanking, generally try and attack from behind the mob. You'll do more damage and avoid taking the odd hit from ripostes etc.
