I seem to be stunned a LOT just about every fight now. I would guess 3-4 times more than before the patch..anyone else notice this?

I am getting stunned a lot more now than previous. I was wondering if getting stunned is linked to getting hit for the max? (I'll have to pay closer attention tonight)



As for the nerf, I compared parses in both Nurga and Chardok last night and am taking 17% more damage on average now. I'm level 60 with 2300hp and 1100ac (no epic yet). So in a typical fight I'll lose about 300-400 more hp than before the patch.



Now more than ever my odds of winning the fight are dependant on how many times my t-staff procs.

stunned has no relation to how much damage you take. Maybe its a strange psychosis, but I seem to notice myself getting bashed for 1HP damage every time I am stunned.

Eh, I know this is naysay, but it seems that every time I get hit for a massive amount, I do get stunned.

Maybe twin 2hb weapons that stun proc would be better than a Tstaff for a tanking (non-uber) XP monk? eg. Baton of RS/Adamantite club? especially if monk haste/dex buffed, procs should go off fairly frequently, further lowering mob hits...comments?



(note: emphasis on non-raiding, non-uber, tanking, XP)

Stun has nothing to do with damage taken (as someone else stated) considering i've been stunned when hit for as little as 2 damage before. (by light blue and even green mobs sometimes) I think its just that "i've been nerfed and something else is wrong now" feeling going through people that makes these sort of things come up. However they may have changed how it figures the stun roll from a mob so it could very well have been changed, its hard to say. Honestly in the testing i've done, it doesnt seem like much has changed except the average damage taken is much higher and thats about it.

Mobs always have a pretty high chance to land a melee stun when they connect a bash. That's why most stuns you see are off relatively small hits. If a mob is landing a bash for 1hp or 1000hp, it still has the same chance to stun you.

I paid closer attention to when and how I was getting stunned last night. I was only stunned a couple of times last night and they were always because of a bash.



So the other night when I was getting stunned a lot was probably just bad luck with the random number generator.

Well havent really noticed getting stunned more when standing perfectly still in front of a mob and fighting, as opposed to strafing a mob or running away.



But last night I ran up to a goblin at least 35 levels below me. It agroed on me, and it's first hit was a 1hp damage bash that stunned me.

I agree, I find myself getting stunned more when i'm running towards the mob or boxing around it. Often I swing around the back of a mob when my Tstaff stuns it so I can get more hits in while its stunned. Sometimes this backfires and the mob stuns me back while i'm spinning around it and may not be directly facing it.
