View Full Version : Verants stand after the patch

I would like to know VI's stand on the patch as of now? lets face its not the first time something got live that needed to be looked at and changed.





Please someone from VI post...just throw us a bone on your opinion right now.

1 are you satisfied things are as they should be?



2 has the patch in action had any unexpected or unforeseen impacts ...good or bad?



3 are things under close observation with some intent to any future changes?



the reason id like to see an answer is myself and I think most others feel that this has had a greater effect on lower end average monks ..as opposed to high end Uber monks. Which I was under the impression is opposite of what you had wanted...



Please don't read this as an "explain yourself" post I'm just thinking all this posting might be better utilized if we were throwing up some suggestions rather than blowing off steam.



Id urge any and all Players who agree they would like to know what the opinion of VI is at this point on there patch to sound off here and let them know were in the dark....either we missed what they "intended" to do in the patch or perhaps theres more changes to come to bring the monk where they want him in EQ

I do not really care about the mechanics of the change.



I would like to know if VI is happy with the actual impact to the players.



or



If it is too soon to tell the exact impact, how much longer will they give it until they re-evalute the changes?



For any VI people reading this, I'm going to play for a week with the new changes. After that I'll decide to hit cancel or not. I'll play until the billing runs out, if no changes, no more Kurrlee. Not that you would care much.

Thats where im at id like to know there opinion on it. Are they happy with it as it stands?



I think id feel alot better if they at least said ..we understand some feel monks of mid lvl average gear are hurting more than they should were looking into it to see if fine tuneing is needed .. or something along those lines



For all we know its a done deal case closed =(

i wouldnt give a rats you know what =) if they gave Roges quad BS, i dont like rogues, i didnt like playing one, and i couldnt care less what rogues do,

i play a monk, and shaman! and i play them very well! ive tryed every other class except wizard, bard, BL, and never got a cleric past lvl 20, so i cant give you any opinion of them, but i know one thing, i like monks and shamans better than any other classes in the game! mages come in a close 3rd with rangers just behind them....but seriously



i am Happy playing my monk as he was...a solo melee! i only wanted to solo to lvl 53ish or 55ish but after that group or raid till i was 60....and am not to happy with the nerf but what can i do?

if vi likes the changes than no amount of BSing here will change that....after all do they even care if we are happy?

UP our damage, if we gona suck tanking just like rogues (in words of verant..."leather will be in the same defensive category as chain")



WE NEED more dmg....iand if we do get that...make fd have a lower aggro component (kinda like evade) if used

You need to understand that these changes of late have little or nothing to do with the players or the game play. They are created by ambitious designers trying to show Sony/Verant what they can do so they will be selected for the NEXT big game. Sad to say, these morons do not understand that EQ is THE game right now, so they are shooting themselves in the foot. I doubt many are looking forward to SWG or EQ2 or Planetside after the last series of patches that have shown a complete ignorance of EQ.

I think its that the designers who got sick of eq and left to possibly bigger and better things, then the new designers that came in thinking that understand how the game works came in and fucked up, but they are honestly trying.
