Adds coming back after two-five minutes

When I solo to try and help myself out I use the instill doubt skill and at least once per fight it'll work. I'm in a big outdoor zone when I use it but occassionally I will get the add. When this happens i'll FD to get the mob to go away. Then i'll pop back up and the add will be walking on its merry way. anyway after maybe two minutes or in some cases after i've killed a mob and am just binding my wounds i'll see that same mob from earlier hawling butt towards me. Has this happened to anyone else? Freak thing or is it something i'm doing?

.. critters higher than level 32. FD no longer makes them completely forget you every time. Only about 1 in 6 FDs will blur a critter. Or, more precisely, you'll only blur when you don't want it to blur (and vice versa).

If a mob gets a certain distance from you (Quite a ways, usually), it won't come chasing back after you, but you remain on it's aggro list, so if you get within that distance again, it'll chase after you again. That distance is always much larger then the initial aggro range, and I think it varies by either mob or zone.



Since most outdoor mobs wander around, it probably just wandered back in range while you were binding.

When in doubt:



1) FD successfully in a relatively safe zone.



2) /q out to the character selection screen.



3) Come back into EQ
