Is that supposed to be tank mezzing?

Off tanking is the term frequently used on my server (quellious). Its when you get more than one pull and someone else goes over to take hits from the second beastie, while the MT and everyone else whacks on the first mob. Second Assist, Add Tank, whatever. Same as offtank.

Brell just calls it CCing.

Pulling in HoT last night wasn't too bad.. once i figured out I was now a druid in monks clothes. I died on the first couple pulls.. mostly just to the incredily fast rate at which I took damage.
After pulling a certain place for a certain amount of time, you just kind of know how long you can tank a mob. I think once i relearn everything I have learned in the last 3 years, I'll be ok. I won't be as useful as I used to be as far as grabbing adds and keeping them off the casters etc.. but as long as i can still pull, i'll be fine. I feel for the monks who aren;t the main pullers though. If you are just a damage dealer standing in camp, you might as well be a rogue, ranger , or wiz.

A warrior should be the off tank, especially if everyone else is focusing on another mob. I'm a monk and my speciality is damage output, so I shoudl be one of the guys on the mob getting all the attention. Help kill it faster. Certainly not trying to be mister-Im-over-here-alone-taking-all-this-damage.
Rogues and clerics and warriors and everyone else knows how to play their class. Are we going to need to re-learn how to play ours?
</p>
If you believe your specialty is damage dealing then you should do your guild a favor and make a rogue. Being a gimpy version of a rogue really ain't much to brag about.

Maybe now everyone will stop making monk twinks.... /sigh

Just out of interest, and I know it's not statistically significant, I did /w all 1 10 for a bunch of classes. 2 monks, 4 warriors, 12 rangers. Perhaps I should have done beastlords as well, being the most likely next class for the hard core soloist.
