I hope everyone is expressing their irritation to Verant as well as here. I see lots of well thought out notes about how us Monks were too heavily hit, but these well thought out notes should ALSO be sent to VI.
The reason I post this, is due to the fact that companies need to know that there is frustration and anger over these changes. Otherwise, 3 months down the line, they will congratulate themselves on a nerf that went smoothly, since there were very little in the way of formal complaints being sent in.
Now for my thoughts...
If a product has a problem and that problem is not found and corrected early on, then people who use that product will consider it functionality.
Later on, after let's say, 2 years, people who use that functionality and heavily rely on it suddenly have it removed, then the use of that product comes to a standstill.
People will look for different products to use that will allow the same functionality and more than the original product.
So, whether your an application vendor or a video game creator, you sell products. There was functionality that people used and it has been taken away. We are now at the point where the use of the product has come to a standstill.
Verant should be seriously concerned about people moving to the next step.
