What an absurd statement. Cant believe that I believe it.

But it's either true or they are too confused to be running this game anymore.

Thanks to all the brothers and sisters here that posted their results after the patch.

The usual has occured.

The uber are unaffected.

The mediocore just took a 4 foot dildo up the ass and another down the throat.

So WTF is Verant smoking.' We didnt like having to make this change'

WTF you changed the wrong monks you @ssholes.

Im disgusted. With their love for the elite combined with their own ignorance of the game they can do some unbelievably stupid stuff.

Oh yeah, thanks also for the silent treatment and the vague public statements. That's great stuff.

From what I've seen here today, I can't help but agree with you.

Ironic no?

I think they chose the easy way out, just nerf the monk... instead of nerfing Every uber All/all item by adding weight, taking the time to select classes that can use them etc.

I will wait... can't play for another couple hours, then I will decide based on weather or not I am a pansy tonight.

Sorry to trail off topic, saw the post title and couldn't resist.

On topic:

Seems to be back to basics at VI, the nerf bat missing the target completely, and the doublespeak (We can't increase the plate wearing classes, and then thats just what they do). I'm happy for the classes that got the dodge boosts, although I'm pretty sure that was to make it look like they knew that just nerfing monks didn't really solve anything. The 20~ points of Dodge won't be a very noticeable difference though, sorry plate wearers. The vague 'mitigation increase in certain situations' might be. The 20 points of defense for rangers is a nice boost though. Grats. =)

As for missing the target, I think what is happening (from colating all this thrown out info in my noggin) is that monks who were waaay over the mitigation 'cap' for their target mob aren't seeing much if any difference. Monks who were at or a bit above the mitigation cap for their target mob are seeing about 10% increase in damage taken. Monks who weren't at the mitigation cap for their target mob are getting the shaft. The Unmistakable Voice of Reason probably had it right where he equated the change to an invisible 100-200 AC hit.

EDIT: 10 points to Gojira, I edited rather than replying to avoid bumping a page 3 post. =p

EDIT2: And it bumped it anyways. =p
