I stink at telling stories but I would like to know more about some fo the backgrounds of some of your monks. My background has about 3 Stories rolled up in one to make the background of my char.

A mysterious force/group destroyed her village. Father and mother are both expected to have slain in the devestation. As a child of 2 1/2, with nothing but the cloths on her back, a strange glowing jewel on her necklace, and an emblem she bore on her back to which the origins are unknown, she was found by someone in the clan known as The Fist. There she was allowed to stay till a family could take her.
Adopted and in a family for several years, she has become bitter at the events of her younger years, till one day she arrives from school to find her adopted parents slain, and the house set on fire. She now turns to the clan, requesting that she stay with them. The clan helps her rename herself to help give her a fresh start in life, Lady Sonjawind.
She learns in the clan that the jewel on her necklace is called a aug and is suppose to possess a strange power/ability but no one knows for sure what its true purpose is. It now becomes obvious to the clan that who ever was destroying those around Sonjawind, are clearly after the aug. This puts everyone and everything around Sonjawind at risk where ever she goes till she can learn to defend/fight for herself.
Now that Sonjawind is a pupil some of the instructors are noticing Sonjawinds speed/balance/abilites/power attacks and cunning are above the average for someone of her young age. They begin to question in secret the true orgins of Lady Sonjawind but refuse to bring this to light with Sonjawind till they understand more about her. Questions like, why would someone like parents intrust such a power gem to a child, why was she spared each time her surroundings were destroyed, could a dark enemy be using her in some way to seek out targets? Anger and domination were becoming apparent in Sonjawinds training. The instructors are becoming worried about what Sonjawind may be becoming at heart.
Learning the ways of the monk, quietly in her heart, she vows to seek out those who have layed waste to those she loved, and to figure out the true abilty of this stone, even though she knows this is against the ways of the clan.
One day after brutaly hurting 8 sparing men, she was handed to a local well known hunter/caster who had now become a success of her own known as the Shaman Sudancia of the North. Sudancia had been taken in at one point by The Fist clan. Teaching Sonjawind at the clan through the years was beginning to take its toll on other students as well as the patients of the intructors. Sudancia knowing that she had been down that same road, took Sonjawind to Sudancias home town in Halas up north at the age 16 to help complete her training and showing her the ropes of hunting/fighting in the real world. This was also to help Sonjawind be hard to track if anyone would still be trying to find her or the aug she carried.
