View Full Version : Please explain some basic XML/UImod's
Can anyone please explain to me in laymans terms how to have more then one mod loaded on the machine at one time.
So all i would have to type would be /loadskin uimod 1 for the firstone, and /loadskin uimod 2 for the second one. Or if anyone knows how to incorporate 2 mods into one if neither of them conflict with each other.
thanks so much in advance.

Use a separate folder for each UI you want to use. You can incorporate several mods intoa single UI folder, but you can't use 2 mods of the same type at the same time (ie, can't have two different looks for your spellbook, alternating which one you see when you open it.).
That answer your question?

ok i use Geists mod, love it, the percents and the equipment setup. I'd like to use Ramsus's Map mod(which uses the action tab, and i do not think Geist's uses the action tab modified in any way) so can ya explain how to use both at the same time, or how to combine the 2. Thanks in advance.

Download Ramsus' map mod.
Copy the EQUI_Actions.xml file into your UI directory.
You will probably have to edit the EQUI_Animations.xml file to make references to the various graphic files he uses for the maps, oh, and you'll need to copy those too.

Download and unzip the maps mod into a temporary folder, then copy all the files from it into the folder you are using for Geist's mod.
Log in, and Viola!
Your actions window may still be the original size when you first log in, just click on one of the tabs and it will resize as needed for the maps. Don't worry if it takes a bit and your system appears to hang, it's doing some heavy work and occupying all the processes trying to get the map files opened.
Cheers!
