Wasted 2500 LDoN points

Maybe some of you parsing masters can lend me a hand here. I just cashed in big time and got Slaves Hidden Orb with the 2 DMG aug from Tac and 125 poison proc from Ruj making this 17/19 +1 Poison with 125DD proc. I knew my off hand was sucking, I have an Ornate stone Battle Hammer at 13/19 with a 100 DD yak proc. Someone with EQcompanion was parsing me at 106 DPS. I have ambidex and fero 3. I had him parse me with my GSot4W and it ranged 141-168. I have PB3 and Fero 3 mixing into this equasion.





Should I just bag the new H2H until I get somethiung like Battle Fists ?

Dude Ornate Stone Battle hammer is the huge suxor. Get Goldren Wraps of the Compact and then you should do comparible damage.

How can you NOT know 41/31 will outdamage that combo? There are 10000 threads about 2 handers being vastly superior to their 1 handed counterparts.

Have to agree with Shinja, I was a big doof here. That was a big buy with little research. Not a total waste though. I will be getting BF sometime soon and that will put me back up there.

Don't have the GSoFW but for me SHO+WLK was > an SoFW, I'd have to think that SHO+GWC is going to parse better then a GSoFW, at a minimum comparably. Even if you get something better, 1H'ers can have their places, for instance things like the PoJ trials where 2H streakiness is undesireable, and pulling where 1H'ers can give you more HP/stats. When they changed damage bonus everyone started saying OMG 1H sucks now, but if you listen to a lot of the Time Monks on their posts they tend to be using 2 1H weapons. I'm not sure you can buy 2 1H'ers that will outdamage a SoFW, maybe the people saying 2HB > all are talking about bazaar gear.



I don't have BF's, but I would think 17+1/19 would be better then 18/20 in the mainhand.

Seen a few here and there, not his most common drop (Ranger bow in my experience), but it's often enough.



I should parse myself sometime, using BF and Hands of Immobile Flame (http://everquest.allakhazam.com/db/item.html?item=20316) Offhand atm. GSo4W in a bag.

I'd main hand the hidden orb, and offhand the Hand of Honor from the HoH Trials. It is an awesome weapon, and 25/31 is a godlike ratio for offhand.

According to a parse posted here a few days ago, augd SHO + Wraps parsed about 4-5dps lower then a GSo4W.



Dunno how accurate it was, but thats what i read.

If the GSo4W was auged with a DD proc like the two one hand weapons used in the above prase then this gap would be even smaller.



Also if you go with the 2hb you can concentrate ignore AAs that boost dual wielding. All the AAs that boost weapon damage and are not related to specificaly using 2 weapons at once (PB, Ferocity, and RS) tend for the most part to provide a bigger DPS increase when you use 2hb.



I would not spend so many LDoN points on the slave orb for such a pitiful DPS gain. If you bought some vengance augs instead with your LDoN points it could well be that you would see your damage increase even more than if you had used your points to change your weapons. Also your vengance augs will still be working for you if you get to loot some truly good 1hb weapon.

worth it or not it may be good to have reputable duel weild combo...



If is the big thing here.



If SOE gives monks the autorepost all repost attacks when not tanking a monk from the front may want to be attacked with more reposts...



moreso if they give us the ability to take the mobs atack and have it hit itself with the reposts...
