i've heard through the grapevine that the INTENDED/planned release date is nov 2 nothing is official but if you want to see what major class changes are coming to wow, download the ptr patch and play on Test server.

note: you cannot fly in azeroth --yet, no cataclysm only specific stuff is avail.

this patch is exactly like the prepatch from Burning crusade and lich king where the overall GAME changes(ie not expansion specific) go live ~1 month prior to the expansion release.

ps i have been telling my wife that i expected the game to come out in november for the past 4 months...gotta get her the collectors edition again,,,she wants the noncombat exclusive pet...again.

It's getting a little late for an early November release. This beta has seemed rather short compared to Wrath. I'm thinking more along the lines of January first or so. Not putting any bets down mostly because Activision may be pushing them harder then blizzard might do on its own.

beta has level 85 max now, just have to do tuning and making sure everything works. the ptr has ~6 weeks for the "live" team to get all the gamewide changes set, and the beta team has ~6 weeks to get all their stuff set.

its doable.

will it get done is the question.
