Starting the Beta for Planetside

First thing you do.,



Find in the any of the following order

Implant station

Equipment station

Certification station

Medical station

Locker

Vehicle Station

"air" vehicle station

THEN

goto the Training Facility and try



EVERY weapon- you get exp every "first" use

EVERY grenade- ditto

EVERY Vehicle- ditto



for vehicles

walk up to the vehicle, you get exp, board as driver - drive it around,,,if it has a gun - shoot it, you get exp for shooting it the first time

if it has a trunk open it.

if it needs a 2nd person for gunner, stop vehicle board as gunner and fire away.



use the training facility to find out what are the best weapons vs what. that way you can plan accordingly



you can get BR3 just doing this - takes a while though



find a base - start looking around examine locks and matrix pads, you get exp



Grenades are fun......

hiding cloaked in a nook as you see 4 enemy infantry run, then you step out and lob a few grenades at their backs to kill all 4 at the same time (only takes a few grenades) priceless...

Try to get with a squad right away after you've practiced, and secure bases. Fast BEPs. Also in the field, try hacking things on your own, they'll grab you a few BEPs too.

Btw if you roam around the vehicle training area, there is a place where you can purchase Reavers and Mosquitos. Make sure to fire off their weapons as that is also some extra xp.



Think there might be a place to get the bigger aircrafts too, as I saw a Galaxy flying around

As far as communication goes, I'm dyin here.



I was on for the first time today, got BR 3 from touring around. Went to another continent and couldn't find a squad to save my life. I think that with an outfit it would be much better. Are any of you in sucessful or mature outfits? I'll keep trying to get decent squads, hopefully I can get into something good and communicative soon.

Does anyone know how to darken the chat window so it isn't so transparent? I hate trying to read chat messages against the various in-game backgrounds.

I flew a Galaxy in the VR vehicle training area last night. As far as I can tell, there's only one dropship pad in the area though.
