Well, I got EugeeVert to work, for the most part.



What I did, is found a similar vert ui mod that worked with the patch from 1/9/03, Which was zw4 UI (http://www.eqgui.com/attachment.php?s=&postid=27488). I copied over the files that were not changed by the latest patch from the old eugeevert folder to the zw4 folder and by some stoke of luck it worked.



The only thing I cannot get to function is the big Mortal Combat looking Target vs Target window. But I guess I will have to live without it.

EDIT: In game Mp3 player is functional/Breath Bar/Casting Bar are now functional. Caster part of the UI is now functional also. Small box above the Buff window is the Bard Song window. It currently holds 6 songs.

Did you guys happen to copy over the new files with the patch on 1/28/03?

The ui functioned fine without the new file and the changed EQUI that justs includes the EQUI_BodyTintWnd.xml.



Also included the original pet window.

Also fixed some UI errors, its now up to date.



Just rename the EQUI_PetInfoWindow.pet to EQUI_PetInfoWindow.xml

Fixed the 2 files that was changed for 2/6/03 patch. You can Download those 2 files here (http://members.cox.net/nullenvoid/Vert030206-upates.zip).



Copy them to the /everquest/uifiles/vert(or whatever you called the folder).



Overwrite the existing files.

Make a folder in the Everquest/uifiles directory called "vert" (without the quotes).



Extract the zip file to the above named folder.



Load up everquest.



In Everquest type /loadskin vert

Charm slot is already indcluded as a graphics in the windowparts4 folder....but adding it in? Will mess up the nice clean inventory =(



I've worked on the original Eugee_vert 2.X version myself a bit....took Shaene's and modified the files to add in the original compass, original windows selector, buff window bars (color and length back to original), and the original backgrounds of buttons and such.



Most were simple cut + paste of original files, a few involved a bit of editing....the compass was a pain...photoshop did the trick though.



Thanks for your work Shaene, I would've never been able to get mine working again without your files.



Hope theres a way to keep the UI working with the advent of charm slots and other such stuff.....

The XP and AAXP is a nice touch. Despite it being on your HP bar, it gives it a slight old-world feel because before the UI came out you had to look on your inventory to see XP.





EDIT: Blah. If its not one thing, its another. I downloaded the upgrade to the UI file, and now I'm stuck with default for some reason. The game won't properly load my Vert folder now. Maybe there's a file from default that was placed into Vert or something.



I know this must bug you to keep updating the UI like this, but can I get a full download of the Evert UI including this change?

I was kinda thinking of adding Total AA's Spent/Unused AA's in the space below. I still might. The new Charm slot for LoK kinda missed up the flow of the old inv <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/images/emoticons/frown.gif ALT=":("> .



What would you like to see there? The changes could be made pretty easily. (depending on what users wanted to see)



Updating the UI is pretty easy, finding out what VI changed can be a pain.

Love the Ui man, but a question...



I downloaded the Pet bar addition as I play a Beastlord. Everything comes up, but unfortunately the large display beside my health still switches to show my targets health instead of just constantly being my pets. Is there anyway to change it so that the large health display shows my health (left) and my pets health (right)? then maybe shows the current targets in the ALT-T box?



If that is possible then it would be perfect.

Anyone else have a problem with the mini hotbar inventory boxes not drawing up? For some reason mine just has the items there, no lil boxes behind em. There was...can't exactly remember what it was though. After being thoroughly agitated with it, I just broke down and downloaded a similar hotbox from EQInterface. Hi folks. Korff, love your ui, Nice and simple. Quick question. When I play my shammy, I have the heath bars above my chat box, but not when I play my monk.

Also, I tried d/l the custom pet command bar, and dropped it in the uifiles/korff file, and havent had it come up yet. Am I doin something wrong? (ui newb, sorry) Is there a site that has more info on how to manipulate the ui files?

You can just type /lfg on/off to turn LFG on or off.

I can add the LFG button to the Group window, but if I am doing that, I might as well add the Accect/Decline buttons also. As a work around, I just made it a key combo. Give me a day or so and I will make the changes to the group window for those that would like it.

I added more the eugeevert textures that were not included in the zip. I'm sorry, I must have completely forgot about them when I repacked the zip file awile ago. This should fix all outstanding issues with the ui.

I noticed after the 2/6 patch where I went in and manually changed the x,y coordinates for a bunch of things, my loot graphics went back to default (black top portion instead of blue) and it doesn't go all the way to the X [ which use to be a square]. (See pic below)

What does the everquestuierrors.txt say? If something was changed it probably reverted back to the default textures.



I had problems with the filehost yesterday, there was nothing I could really do about it. I will have a better host soon.



I downloaded and tested the UI from the zip that was uploaded to 0catch. UIErrors reports no errors atm. :/



Added the EQUI_GuildManagementWnd.xml to the zip or youy can copy it over from the uifilesdefault to you current ui folder.

I'm not worried about the LoY files, default is fine.



What is the name of the XML file for the loot display (ItemDisplay?) ? I'll just copy over the updated version and overwrite what I have. For updates, I go in manually and make the changes since I'm use to not seeing the XML updates for a few days, just a habit =)

Everything works great now with the latest zip file, except for one thing. The big-ass target bar shows up when i do a /loadskin, but then not again after i log out and back in. The only way I can ever get it to show up is to do /loadskin, and when I do that i lose all my window positions.



UIErrors.txt is empty.



Any ideas whats wrong?

In the past, I could drop old vert one windows into a complete set to mix and match to my preference.



My main interest is the playerwindow.

When I try to drop in this window it just fails to default on loadskin.

I actually changed the Fade-To Transarecy to 80%+ in that screenshot. Alt+O -> Display

Im having the problem with the target bar as well. Its there the first time I load the skin but no more after that. I tried what you suggested and did /loadskin EugeeVert 1 and it still didnt come up. Why is this problem happening anyway?



One other small bug Ive noticed is in the spell book on page 2 (didnt check to see if other pages have it) the spell icon slots dont line up with the boxes on the background texture.

I keep on seeing compasses that are just a window pieces 4 file. When I look in that file it is only the compass graphic.



It seems to me this would screw up all the other uses for window pieces 4.

Copying the Window_Pieces02.tga and Window_pieces04.tga from the zip should correct that issue.

grrr, i cant get this UI to work at all. i cant get any UI that i download to work after LoY came out. i did everything the readme told me to. copy the default foder to the root of the hard drive, unzip into that folder, overwrite everything, rename it vert, and copy it back into my uifiles folder and it still does not work.

I d/l'd the UI and is great, but I am not able to get all the same windows as in the screenshot. I am getting the main window that has everything, the ones that I do not get is the My Hits/misses and Me getting hit windows.

I didnt copy the new files over from the patch ( 5/14 ), a friend did and its screwed everything up. Here are the new files, I think they added the percentage thing...

EDIT, adding the line in the EQUI and it makes the tips work fine, something is up with the other 3 files, so I didnt copy them over.

Go to www.eqinterface.com and go into the patch fixes forum. There are fixes you can copy and paste into the various xml files.

The only ones I had to do were the targetwindow and group window xml files, and now I don't get the error message.

I was wondering if anyone could possibly make a custom modification to this UI. All Im looking to change is to make the spell bank horizontal and make the hotkey bank/inventory stacked vertically instead of next to each other. If anyone could do this, I would greatly appreciate it.

Shaene, all of your links are hotlinks. Since you're on a free account you can't link from outside of your own site. Just make an index.html with the link to the file on that, and then link to the index.html. That should fix the problems everyone is reporting. I am having the same problem BTW and the above is what I gathered from the hotlinking error page.

re-edit: I looked at the time stamps... it just must have been a gap in time from when I last looked at it in a seperate window to when I actually replied to it. Oh well. Thank you for the update!!!
