View Full Version : Proc question on augmented weapons

OK, there is apparently a modifier on some weapons that affect its chance to proc. Some guildies claim to be able to "see" what it is. I have been told for example that Caen's has a modifier of 25, Zha 50, Blade of War 45 for example. I have been told by these same guildies that augments have a modifier of 0 AND if you augment a weapon with a modifier, like a Caens with a procing augment that has a modifier of 0, you lose the positive modifier and will actually proc less.

Has anyone any knowledge of this modifier and its effect when an augment has been applied? It seems to run contrary to the theory that the more procs the better.

There is a modifer, there's very few weapons that have it (the modifier is listed in Lucy now, BTW), and your augs have no affect on your weapon proc rate.

If you want proof, check around on the Steel Warrior board for the Weapons Affinity parses. You will see that one of the weapons that is shown a lot for the parses is a Darkblade of the Warlord, which has a proc rate mod. Even with an Anger III aug, it procs at the higher rate (I know that the Weapon Affinity parses don't much to do directly with the question, it's just a parse where the affect is visible and has been posted frequently lately).
