There were no "official" rules for monks in 2nd Edition D&D. Best bet is to get 1st edition rules and modify them for 2nd edition. Or better yet, move to 3rd edition <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/images/emoticons/smile.gif ALT=":)">

can't find anything on 2nd edition monks, but I do have this to say...

3rd edition rules were rather easy to pick up, it only took one session to learn it all and I rather enjoy it. then again I play 3rd edition with one group of friends, and another group I play is 2nd edition <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/images/emoticons/wink.gif ALT=";)"> .

I'll keep digging to see if I can put together some rules.

I know I had sum'n somewhere...

In 2ed Monks were a Cleric Kit, usually of Gods of combat spiritual perfection. I played one for years. You should be able to find a copy of it in the Complete Clerics handbook.

Monk rules for second edition AD&D are in the Oriental Adventures supplement I believe.

Unless you guys are talking about D&D rules not AD&D (Gygax and his hair splitting, sigh)

I have a downloaded some rules for ADnD second addition off a dnd download website (cant remember right now - at work and site info is at home). I will try to remember to post the info here when I return home.

I actually made my own monk class for ADnD second addition optional rules system. Had it play tested for 3 years and have completed (I hope) the 5th revision of the class.

What area do you and your friends hail from? Me and my friends are looking to increase our numbers to a larger party .

We are in the southern California area around 25 min from LAX and nearly 25 min from Orange county border.

Matter of fact if anyone is in that area and is interested or wants for info, please post or e mail me at rax222@hotmail.com

<div style="text-align:center"><span style="color:red;font-family:verdana;">The monks for second edition are found in the Faith and Panteons book that came out in '86. It was a revision of another book that had the Specialty Preiest in it. The monks were way in the back. they might have not even been in there. any way if you have the book they are in there, other wise there is no other place in second edition that they cane be found.

could use the free source information for 3.5 to make up the class too, all the info is in it.

www.wizards.com/D20/article.asp?x=srd35 (http://www.wizards.com/D20/article.asp?x=srd35)

just go down to character classes and find monk, switching over to 3.5 isnt that hard and in all honest you can use the free source documents they have instead of buying all the books to figure it out.
