Can anyone recommend this game?



Its made by the same guys who made Imperium Galactica and Imperium Galactica 2. Two Games that really kicked ass (if you like space empire building games). I read a little on their website and some of the things kinda made me nervous. Normally I wouldnt mind blowing $50 bucks on a chance but buying a house and every doller counts right now.

Its Hegemonia, and yeah I remember that. I have the September 2002 preview saved on my harddrive. Still watch it everynow and then. Can check their site for info.

Was kinda looking for a first hand recommendation.....but I think Im gonna pick it up. Cant suck worse then Pools of Radiance (the newer one, not the SSI Gold box)

Yep it is.....Only played it for about an hour....Interface is gonna take some getting used too.....Too early to decide yet.

I want to like it....It reminds me alot of the first Imperium Galactica where you start small as just the head of a squadron and work your way up.......I just cant get into it even in Skirmish mode (playing a random campaign against computer)......Must be because I just found all the Awsome modules for Neverwinter Nights (course patch 1.27 is doing its best to kill my enthusiasm). Still its not bad....Just not grabbing me in any of the right places. I'll come back to it later. It's like Tori Amos's Boys for Pele.....Not bad......Just not good....

Okay, Heres my final opinion on the game. (**Your results may vary depending on your Gaming desires**). It mostly reminds me of Homeworld with Colony Management. Its just not my cup of tea (or hot cocoa). Its got awsome graphics, reasonable control interface but the Gameplay is just to fast paced for me. Im sure its meant more for multiplaying but thats just not me. Its not a bad game, Just bad for me.
