why so many locked?

why so many threads locked here? did not see too much that is all that bad.

because people *cough* keep starting stupid threads...and those posts kept coming back up and i guess some mod decided it was tie for them to die

i lock the stupid polls now and then. some of those polls are many months old, and they get bumped every time someone votes in them. if i didnt close down the polls every so often this place would be overrun with them already.
