First off this ui is a combination of geist and several readily available ui mods out there.



this ui is ALMOST break proof since i do not use an equi.xml or equi-animations.xml in it. the only time this ui will break is if they do work on the specific files in the ui itself the rest of the ui uses the default files.

i include the spellbook tkings spell icons and mafoos spell and several other readily available mods from eqinterface.com



the chat windows have no title but are stretchable, thus you can move by stretching them.



my setup



all "chat" goes in the left chat window

all spells cast by npc's in the left chat window

all melee and spells cast by pc's go in the right chat window

the playerwindow i included DOES have a mana bar, but if you goto eqinterface and get tosevites player-group mod he does have one that does not have mana in there. the targetwindow has a casting bar built right in,, handy for a cleric to judge casting time to say,,duck gotta cast a quick heal or i'll make it and let the spell be cast...

tonite will get a jpg up...



i play in 1280x1024 with a 1280x800 viewport but this works for 1024x768





starting on left is the hotkeys with bag slots next is "chat" box

centered is my target & player &group window



the group window is at the bottom and ONLY has the invite/disband buttons

the player window has name current hp/max hp hp bar &%

sta bar &%

exp bar & %

axp bar & %

group members 2-6 name healthbard & %

the target window is in the viewport -transparent - has target name healthbar % and underneath that the casting bar



next to that is my combat chat - all combat related spam goes here - pc spells crits, melee dam etc etc etc



next to that is the actions window



in the upper right hand corner is geists buffbux and under that the bard song -both transparent



the compass goes to the left of the target box and the main window selector goes at the very top centered...



there is just one section of black where if i can find a good petwindow setup i'll put that there...

Looks good Len, will probably dl it tonight. Only thing I was wondering about, no range/ammo hotswap? Or am I just not seeing it? (long day heh)

leksikon, it shouldnt be too hard to edit the extra slots in the hotbutton window. go into your xml file for the hotbutton and try to figure it out. its not too hard. i promise.

i have one i liked but it called for a unique tga file that WAS NOT INCLUDED in the file DL thus really really fucked up my game - the uierrors file was 151 meg the textures file was 105 meg - really bogged my game down to unplayable status





so going with this layout until i find a hotswitch i like

simple copy over the default chat file to your custom and then just turn off titles ...that is what i did

i already did it figured it out was having problems with it.



used it in my UI i use them clear with no bakground but i just hated the old school windows version

I'll rephrase Moltenfist's question for us XML n00b's... how do you turn off Titles? I've wanted to nuke them since the new UIs came out, but not known how.

Never mind. After a couple of minutes of staring at the two files, I noticed the key "true" that had been changed to "false" for Titles. <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/images/emoticons/smile.gif ALT=":)">
