THE WORD ON THE BAZAAR CRASHES:



Okay... something changed in the default UI over the last couple days that makes "older versions" of certain files crash.



To fix the crashes, simply reinstall the mod you're using.



Delete the UI directory, copy the Default UI into that directory, and Copy the custom UI files into that directory again and the bazaar will work again. (after you loadskin)

however some of the mods use an older version of EQUI_animations.xml

which cause the bazaar to crash.



what i would recommend until such time as NEW versions of the modded files come out is to - in the bazaar - /loadskin default - then do your buying and selling. then as you leave /loadskin YOURui.

Copy over the EQUI_BazaarSearch.xml file ( or something like that ). That *should* fix it.



I think .. I can't use the bazaar yet due to my crappy system. So I'm unable to test this myself.

This fix is for those of us with custom UIs trying to use /bazaar and crashing to desktop?

Yes, turn on /loadskin default to buy stuff in the bazaar, when your done, loadskin the one you play with. Will stop you from crashing to desktop.

I found the solution to this and posted to the EQInterface site. Mods (like Geddine's Target Window) which added things to EQUI_Animations.xml, are now crashing upon /bazaar because the new version of EQUI_Animations.xml has a section of code at the end called A_DividerVertical, wheras the older mods ended with A_WhitePixel. I checked this side by side section by section.



Open the EQUI_Animations.xml from the Default folder and the EQUI_Animations.xml from the mod, side by side in Notepad, copy the section at the very end starting with the "A_DividerVertical" code, and past it into the old mod EQUI_Animations.xml, then use that spliced version in your Mods folder. No more crash <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/images/emoticons/smile.gif ALT=":)">



The A_DividerVertical, I feel pretty sure, is likely used for the little vertical lines between the columns in the /bazaar window, between like Item names, prices and vendors. Without it, the old EQUI_Animations.xml would crash on /bazaar after the /bazaar started looking for it.

i just /loadskin default when entering. saves all those damn crashes and what not from happening



than when i leave /loadskin *whatever*
