some MASSIVE cuts for their fall release have been announced
first- only TWO major cities will be in the game at release and
4- that is right FOUR classes have been deemed not ready and have been removed for release
all of them Melee based- TWO of them the main TANK class for their respective realms...

wow... I guess they saw how crappy aoc could be released, and want to follow suit.
Playable, but broken at the same time, and make tons of sales.

Sony set the standard for this.
I thought that was vanguard that set this standard?

Vanguard set the standard for the crappiest release, o well. Wonder what other MMOs are around the corner.

Well crud.
2 cities only out of how many?
4 classes left out but aren't there supposed to be a boatload?
I was trying not to get my hopes up yet they seem slightly dashed now. I hope this isn't a big deal.

I don't know how many total cities it would have but assuming each faction had a starting city:
Skaven City
Dwarven City
Human Empire City
Chaos City
That's off the top of my head and assuming that each city had appropriate areas for individual classes (for Skavens etc) or gods( for Chaos).
I'm not super familiar with Warhammer lore having only read the Gotrek and Felix novels a loooong time ago.
P.S. Releasing a game without having the premiere tank class for each side clearly exhibits a whole new level of retarded, imo. Or maybe they just want people to l2kite first, lol.

Gotta love how people find anything to bitch about.
So I'm guessing you folks would rather they left in those 4 other cities and 4 other classes... and have the classes be unbalanced/have flaws and the cities have poor layouts, limited quests etc? That way you can bitch about how, "My class sucks!! Why did you go to release with a crappy class like this?" Or.. "My city has no quests, but the xxx city has a TON of stuff, what the hell??"
Warhammer is doing the RIGHT thing. They know they can't release poorly balanced classes, or unfinished cities... so they're taking them out for now until they can release them in a polished state.

Just like in AoC thread here and the game boards people will complain loudly about anything, especially if they disagree with the decision. I respect that they won't release some crappy cities or broken classes and some other companies should follow suit. Vanguard did admit to things not being complete but they had to release anyway and it sounds as though it has much improved. I just didn't like that particular MMO from the start - to me it was Equitrak 2.5. I'm having fun in AoC personally and will stick with it but I play slowly and by the time I hit any end game things should be sorted out and if I don't like it - see ya later. I was certainly considering Warhammer as an alternative but nothing about it wow'd me from the start. This news just means it's definitely worth waiting to purchase unless you can't wait to get your hands on it.

While I understand the desire to not release unfinished content, I would question the state of the game if so much content is being axed (prior to the release) to push it out the door.

I personally think they are trying too hard on everything. You are not going to have EVERYTHING awesome. They are really trying too hard to reinvent the MMO. That's a mighty high pedestal they are climbing there. It's going to make for a wonderful crash when they fall.
