Edit: updated to show the latest version. In this new version, the slider increments have been fixed - you can now position it anywhere along the bar.

Edit: the custom XML generator has 7 windows to choose from, including Pet and Help (unfortunately Friends window does not support new version).

Very nice timer, I actually just added it to my player window and it worked great. One question though, when I use the slider it seems very jumpy. Is there any way to smooth out the slider movement?

This looks very cool... from reading the comments in the EQ GUI thread, looks like you could possibly tinker with it a bit and adjust the timer so that it counts down for any amount of time you want. Could be useful for situations like camping Raster.



Also, since it only replaces one window, and there are lots of useless windows... could have the mend and a spawn timer both up at the same time as well.

Question on the timer, I downloaded it and just replaced the default petwindow info with the timer info. Works fine...except...it doesnt count lol. Any clue what I need to do to get it to work? I couldn't get the timer part to work at all. Even had to go in and edit the .xml file to correctly access the right graphic file.



Maybe its me...but I click on the arrow to put it about half way across the bar and the damn time bar never fills up. So what am I doing wrong?



I love the thought of having a mend bar but I can't get the dang thing to work ehheheheh.

Well I had to redo the timer and make a file other than defualt derr, when I changed it and logged in EQ redownloaded the pet info doh! Well got the window again and everythings fine...except still wont count <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/images/emoticons/frown.gif ALT=":(">

Yikes! When I updated the mods late last night to allow them to co-exist with the other timer, I forgot to update all the references to the old graphics file name. Sorry about that.



I've fixed them now, please download the latest versions and thanks for bringing this to my attention.

I loaded this up and I like it. One question: Is there any way to add a second slider with a differnt color? Would be nice if I could time mend and Avatar proc and swap both.

Yup, the custom timer generator is almost done and will be up very soon (check back this weekend). With it, you'll be able to do the following:



- Have multiple timers (up to 8)

- Assign a different color to each timer

- Assign a custom duration to each timer

- Assign a custom text label for each timer



In addition, the slider granularity problem (not being able position it EXACTLY where you want it) has been resolved. You'll be able to move the slider to any location on the bar.



I'll post again here when the new timer generator is available.

This new version seems incompatible with Geist's UI in the help window... it autoloads default everytime I try... it looks so awesome and I wanna use it but I guess its back to using then nasty white one...

I just downloaded Geist's UI and put the timer in the help window, and it worked for me - I was able to see the timer window and use it. If you don't have the latest version of Geist you may need to download it and try again, or try it in a fresh folder.



Even though the UI loaded up, I did get a warning message about the UI. Upon examining the UIErrors.txt file, it appears to be an issue with the AAWindow (unrelated to the timer):

Sobol - if you have a download manager like Download Accelerator, you may need to press ALT as you click the download button, to temporarily disable the download manager.

All this work wouldn't be necessary if VI would just add "time remaining" echoes to skill activation attempts before they're ready. It's already there for disciplines, how hard could it be.

I was testing the slide timer..



So.. what it does is just slide to the end of a speficied time and starts over.. looping over and over and not stopping?



If there a way to link it to, say.. your mend hotkey and everytime you hit Mend, the slide will reset?



If not.. then I would need to tag the spot of the slide everytime I hit Mend. For a 6 minute function like mend, that's a lot of scrolling.



I can see a use for this for a longer reset action like LayofHands.



excellent mod but I don't see a use for it with Mend. Since I rarely need it every 6 minutes, no real need for a count down.



If it CAN be set up to reset automatically when Mend is activated.. then it would be perfect. Or any other effect that its linked to.. not just Mend.



Again, Great job on the mod.. not saying its useless. Just not for me.
