Details here (http://news.curse.com/details/5074/)
It's closing in on 4 months since Gods & Heroes was cancelled (http://news.curse.com/details/3132/) and Perpetual Entertainment had to go through a round of layoffs. Now, not only are they dealing with legal issues (http://www.shacknews.com/onearticle.x/50323), but P2 Entertainment -- formerly Perpetual Entertainment -- has now ceased development of Star Trek Online.
According to WarCry's breaking news (http://www.warcry.com/articles/view/breakingnews/2802-Breaking-News-P2-Out-As-Star-Trek-Online-Developer), P2 has transfered the license and content of the game to an unnamed Bay Area developer, who will continue developing the project -- though the game's code itself will not be continuing on to its new home.
P2 Entertainment is now going to focus completely on continuing development and licensing of their Perpetual Platform -- previously licensed by industry leaders like BioWare -- as well as a shift toward the casual games market.
Keep checking back -- we will of course be following closely and report any new developments, especially once we know who has taken over the work on Star Trek Online.
