Dark Silver...Who Are They?

This previously unknown guild has sprung from nowhere to do what nobody else has accomplished yet - beat at least TWO Meldrath's Mansion raids. Who are they, what is their website, and how can I apply to this great new guild? Nobody seems to know anything about them...except the recent discoveries page on EQPlayers.

Everquest players collectively held their breath as this new uber guild exploded onto the scene...until a canny poster on EQLive suggested another alternative...SoF raids in Meldrath's Mansion have been hacked already. I have included a screenshot of their amazing new discoveries from EQPlayers. In it, it is crucial to point out the Gyro Cores - whose item ID's do not match the discovered Wrist items from the already-beaten Tier 3 Raids. These new armor upgrades, are ONLY from Meldrath's Mansion raids and this guild has discovered quite a bit of them. There are other new items, with the Password Fragments likely corresponding to new spell turn-in drops (new Rank III spells are appearing as well), and the Oil-Resistant Facemask likely being a normal raid drop. Having the same person loot the Necrotic and Martialism cores is likewise interesting...since it suggests that their guild is lacking several classes...or that only a couple of classes were even present..

Ironically, it appears that EQPlayers is good for something after all...

Well DSilver has been around for... *thinks* Damn i don't even know how long. And im on the same server of the guild..

If anyone is going to have any lick getting in however it may be people already end gamed @ lvl 80 with almost all AA's on there characters list full with also end stuff gear.

Bleh i still call sploits and damn hope LoMH doesn't alliance with them .. Wait .. think i need to see on that. -_- i think we are in alliance with em or something but not to positive on it.. oi this is not cool

I think the point was the loot itself, the fact that they have already cracked into the end game content of the latest expansion. The interesting part is that they are only anguish geared for the most part and only have 22 members in the guild. The forums are discussing the fact that they "hacked" into the new content, as it appears they have. From what I can read, the only question SOE has at this point is what the punishment should be. Kinda funny if ya as me lol.

Dark Sliver used to be a larger guild from what I remember. Those names look familiar to me, but I only raided with them a couple of times on older GoD content a year or so ago.

Here is my question. Why is there only something done when ghosters infringe on the biggest elite guilds territory? Where is the uproar about the 50 names i can call off the top of my head on Drinal walking around in Solteris and Tss raid gear that are low playtime, un or low guilded, who are always anon with their eq players profile turned off? Why is it only news worthy when they beat new content? I mean come on. We let these guys do what they do for so long untouched that of course they are going to get brass cohones and ghost new content because nothing gets done to keep them down or scare them from doing it. Hell im now getting emails and tells on my lower level toons guaranteeing me any gear in the game i want in just a couple days for a certain price. Petition once again is doing NOTHING.

This isnt new. It certainly isnt rare. Its something a few of us on Drinal have been fighting for a long time and we are losing the battle. I just love how the only time something gets publicly done is when a high end guild on FV cries foul when ghosters beat them to killing event 7. Now that Darksliver has ghosted and beaten events that our most elite raiders havent beaten its time for something to be done? Give me a break and lets get off our high horses. If you want something done with ghosters ask for an end to every single one of them. Not just the ones stupid enough to piss off the elite. Ive been playing this game since original beta. I play 6 computers 100 percent macro free. Ive grown old and cynical trying to continue to play a game tainted by more people cheating than those who dont and even MORE tired of nothing getting done unless its the elite few at the top complaining, yet the elite few only complain when it directly effects their egos , rankings, or hierarchy.

For me i cant give a rats behind about what Dark Sliver did when they are just a miniscule fraction of ghosters on one of many servers. Are we seriously only going to ask something be done to them and not all the others? If so its shame on them for ghosting SoF and shame on the rest of us for letting the other 99 percent get away with it everywhere else hourly.

what makes this "news worthy" is that its a very good example of just how bad this has gotten... same with the FV incident. using these programs to level a toon or to gear up in 2yr+ old content is one thing, but to take it as far as getting serverwide first kills/loots just shows how sony isnt doing a damn thing about it. i mean whats the worse that will happen to them? a small suspension with a little rollback? even with that its just a matter of a few hours of getting their gear back thru the same methods. imo, the only real solution is somehow set it up to where the game can pick up on 3rd party programs that are allowing this bs and to auto kick em from game immediately or something. even with a ban on the account they just make a new one anyway.. we need something that stops their gameplay in its tracks as soon as its picked up

I disagree it is in some ways a high horse thing because now it is effecting the Ubah Guilds.

When you were raiding Demiplane or Deathknell did you complain about the same ghosters camping the 6spawn at Wall of SLaughter? It inconveinienced a different set of players then but perhaps they couldn't handle MPG or RS and they needed to go there to get there runes. Personally I would rather have them Ghosting in expeditions where they don't effect the people who are camping for stuff. If they beat you to a high end loot who cares, its not like it stopped you from getting loot. When they were in the good spots in OPEN zones they were stopping other people from getting loot they needed for progression. I think them farming high end instances is much less disruptive to the game as it doesn't hurt anyone. Just puts a few egos out of wack.

So let the ghosters get 4k AC and 20k HP, it doesn't effect my game.

nah, i know what youre talking about and ya, thats always been a problem. all i was saying that its gotten so far outta control now that they arent even hiding it at all cuz they know nothing will happen. and like i said.. the FV and the MMM raid incidents are just good examples of just how bad it is.
