EugeeVert MOD (repost)

I've been getting some e-mails asking for my MOD lately, and I didn't feel like digging it up to find it. Here's a screenshot of the mod:

Notes:

1. If you don't know how to set up a MOD, read it somewhere.

2. Alt-F1 toggles the giant HP bar (pet info window)

3. Alt-T toggles the normal target window.

4. Alt-F toggles the simple timer (I may put in the slider timers sometime)

5. The statline in the player window is replaced with a mana bar if applicable.

6. My alpha/fade settings are 100/100 for all the windows, except buffs (100/0), chat (50/100), and the big hp bar (0/0)

7. The stat area of the inventory window is the auto-equip.

8. The destroy button is where most people are used to done being, I'm used to it now, and don't intend to change it.

9. I did not make the skin, it's totally Vert's work, I just tweaked the layout of the windows for my guild, and shared.

10. Alt-W will hide the window selector (get asked that a lot)

11. If you only want certain things (many just wanted the player and buff windows) then only copy the corresponding files into your custom folder. The .xml files do not have tricky names.

Did you put in a med book under caster's spell bar so they don't have to switch spells by typing /book first?

Also, I have completed my long list of mods to this mod of a mod but don't have a screenshot, or an account to take one atm ... soon as I do I'll post.



Notable changes:

-No more 'Vs' between the big bars! If I can find an animation of 'Vs' on fire I might put that in its place.

-Mana is listed just under your big health bar, same height as the pet health but under the bar.

-In the center of your hp big bar is currenthp/maxhp in a medium size font (not as big as in the playerwindow but bigger than the default ... size of 5)

-Hotbutons changed to Default skin, with slightly shorter window and removed titlebar

-Inventory will be changed to an old style with class symbol inside autoequip as soon as I find it.... I know it's out there somewhere.

-Percentage labels are now all white.

-Resists taken out of buff window (MEH!)



Edit: Couldn't find a cooler looking compass as I thought I would when I posted what I'd change ... so it's unchanged.

That's Vert. <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/images/emoticons/smile.gif ALT=":)"> I modified that one to produce my UI. I loved the skin, and a lot of the layout, but I hated the resist icons and the STR icon, etc (like I need to see my STR all the time--of course I ended up putting all the physical stats in, but that was just so non-mana users didn't have this retarded blank line). The icons were just more space taken up needlessly in my book, and also weren't terribly intuitive (WC3 icons if not mistaken) so I just zapped 'em all, and compacted my space.



By the way, regarding the VS thing, I'm waiting till I can implement the class symbol in it's place, then I'll be happy. <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/images/emoticons/smile.gif ALT=":)">

If you just need the UI for anything else, even if its not entirely working correctly, then what you need to do is this:



Go to the default skin folder, look for an EQUI.XML file. its called just that. EQUI.xml. Copy that to Vert, then open up word or notepad and load up that copy from vert.



Delete the last two lines added, the alarm and the loadskin thingy.



Save, and viola. I'm using Eugee's Vert and it works for me. Every time I zone it keeps saying I don't have the correct UI files, and some windows may not function properly, but so far I've had no problems of any sort.

The error message is caused by the Friends window timer, which I have removed. I will be putting in the slider timers soon. Changed the screenshot for giggles.

Actually Yuffie reading what you said, NOT what you said was the problem, though you stumbled on it somehow. <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/images/emoticons/smile.gif ALT=":)"> The checkbox normal and pressed uid2animations had to be defined in Animations.xml is all. The reason Inventory & Spells freaked out also is they refer to custom arrow pointers, spell slots, and inventory buttons defined in the Vert animations.xml file, so removing animations screwed them up. The friends window error is because of a change to the window, but I didn't care enough to research it. I'm going to just use the custom slider timers in the /bug window I think, since no one uses it for anything ESPECIALLY Verant.

The way I did it, I was able to get it to work, but everytime I zoned it would say I didn't have teh exact files and some windows might not function.



Not a biggie for me, but I'm still just gonna load up the new one.. Now if only the game would let me load it up. *goes off searching for why it won't load up*

at this point i want to thank you really. i use this interface for my monk and cleric and even if i use another window here and there i still use your UI as basis. thanks for meaking it look so great and functional.

Delete the EQUI_FriendsWindow.xml file from your custom folder. They made a change do it (big one) so I just took it out since I don't like that timer anymore anyway.
