I haven't played in like 4-5 years. Did they change the UI a lot since then?

Not really.

And if you actually think that those things have "ended"... tell me where you bought your rose colored glasses.

Oh great. Take off your goth costume and use your brain. They ended in the places where they were fought and defeated. Not everywhere..... yet.

But hey thanks for the 2 word response to my question.

Yes the UI has been modified since then, however the basic layout remains similar. The changes are tweaks here and there mainly.

The two word response was adequate, though perhaps too complex, for your literacy level.

I don't think that a 26 letter alphabet can describe it but I'd like to present my theatrical representation of the "abner" form of continuous species propagation- BFR (breast feeding ritual)....

suck...suck...slop...wahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.(sorry baby let's fill you up again)...suck..."there you go." suck, suck. [baby(as in the baby says)-damn I miss being a satisfied human being...Freud??? Help!) Do you think that we should go ahead and give him all the nutrients he needs?

Let me here your applause.... boys and girls!!!

[if it doesn't sink in... reread, rinse, and repeat...]

Edit, in retrospect that theory was probably weak, but a baby controls a mama, just as much as the mama controls the baby. Let's keep these genes spreading "barruchk no bahtidiedoobahbmoor, no matter, what. Keep it going! Please. Keep it going, Ashalahmalahkum. (SP!?!)

If anyone thinks that this is a ridiculous response to a post please support STEVEN COLBERT in his unwinnable election of 2008.

lol well you have demonstrated your low literacy level quite well thank you. Your 2 word grunting was probably all you could muster. But hey thanks for trying. /rolls eyes

While you may not agree with Abner (and I often do not), at least have some respect*! :o15:

Abner, if you don't like the default UI I can send you a screen shot of mine, so you can see if you like any of the pieces. It is a combination of the "old" UI and pieces modified to be minimalist.

*for each other.

Soy you are right. I use the default UI except I have use the old style hotboxes (the 2 x5 ) rather than the new 1 x 10.

I'm surprised that nobody has posted a UI with a buff window that includes the time left on the buffs or the name of a pet's master on the name bar.

Monks have pets? =)

Monks have had pets since at least Planes of Power (although I'm not sure if the pet summoned by the Earthen Fists is actually tied to the Monk as a pet in game). With the proliferation of items that summon familiars or annoying jesters, everyone has a pet these days. However, I was referring more to something like this:
